Strange one this. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34807635 Rather different to Watford waiting for International clearance. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...er_s_move_to_receive_international_clearance/
The Jersey captain signing for the donkeys will be unforgivable. This highlights the need to get a Jersey team into the English pyramid system.
I used to watch every England game and feel no good if I had to miss one. However one or two years ago I got fed up watching them. Last night when the game was on tv, I decided to watch Michael Portillo on a train journey through Greece instead. A very good programme and I didn't feel anything bad that I hadn't watched the football. And judging by the reports, I didn't miss much and have no regrets. England has lost one previously dedicated supporter.
Just seen Cathcart's terrific pass to set up Northern Ireland's winner last night. Boltonesque.... same ol' Watford, boring long ball.
Hmph. Just watching Ireland... Dang, if I ever hear them whinging on about Thierry Henry ever again....
I thought that the FA and the FFF really did put on a very appropriate display of unity last night. Well done, the game could have been called off which would have been the easy way out.
Yes I think they hit the right tone. It was nioce when the players lined up for photographs and the crowd just applauded - I thought for one second they had done away with a minute's silence. The silence itself was amzing - and I suspect that the picture of the two teams mixed around the centre circle will become an iconic one. The Frecnh team deserve all the plaudits and respect they get - must have been incredibly difficult to play that game.
Football and footballers get a lot of stick but credit must go to those involved in the tributes at Wembley and for the players for putting on a decent game when it must have been hard to focus.
I know it might help Watford's cause if he is not fit, but I was actually looking forward to watching Anthony Martial play. ..and I have to admit I'm a fan of Mr .Rooney ...Would not begrudge him a hatrick on Saturday , just so long as we score one more than them . Will be good to see Ashley Young , was watching a re run of 2006 Watford v Fulham on sky the other day ..3.3 ..Young scored a cracking goal ..and there was a very well taken Watford own goal .
Yes I felt the same - sure it might help but you would still like to play against, and beat, the best. That said, of course, if we win I won't be complaining if they donl ahve their best players out!
