They're stuck with it I think, but what an enjoyable read that was. One in the eye for the authorities.
Troubled times for Arsenal in Europe and Chelsea just about scrapping through. Meanwhile Mr Warnock is back in football at QPR. Hardly a surprise really from the moment he walked back into Loftus Road to "help" Chris Ramsey.
So the EPL is the best league in the world! It is a good selling point, but is it true? Rather doubtful in my mind.
Just watched Arsenal well beaten on BT Sport, though I must say Bayern Munich played a very attractive brand of attacking football...a class above the British teams in the Champions League I think.
Mrs H-F is enjoying a well deserved Stein in her Munich hotel this evening having attended the match. She had it down for 3-0, I went for 4-1 and it was looking good til right at the end. Puts her one up on me... maybe next season???
With Chris Powell and Chris Ramsey both sacked, are there any black managers left in the top four leagues?
Think I heard there is 2. Do you think there is an issue regarding lack of black players becoming managers or just coincidence? Powell could be considered unlucky to an extent but Ramsey was always under pressure from a club expected to get straight back up. I'd like to think with all the overseas players/owners there are and social progression there isn't any discrimination against anyone.
Chris Hughton at Brighton. Not sure if any others. Certainly a strange co-incidence that with so few black managers, two were dismissed on the same day.
Chris Hughton (Brighton), Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (Burton Albion), Keith Curle (Carlisle) and Ricardo Moniz (Notts County) are now the only managers from BME backgrounds in the Football League after Wednesday's sackings.
Get well soon Andy Cole! I was never a big fan but this sounds awful! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34725206
A few non-league sides doing themselves proud. Shame Wealdstone and St Albans got hammered in the end.
Just to put everyone into perspective we've seen 2 young goalies lose their lives today tragically at the start or in the prime of their careers. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34798929 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34798713
