Dutch and Italy both held whilst Wales and Iceland march on. Some big nations certainty not having their own way!
As for England I am sure most people aren't fooled by us beating a lot if average sides since the World Cup. Anyway we'll al be too tired come France 2016! Well that is always the excuse..
Stunning attendance at the under 21s game - and as it's the school holidays there'll be no grumpy kids in the morning!
Complete nonsense for the most part but I don't think any of us would complain about the number 10 on the list... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ball-managers-in-pictures.html#?frame=3252631
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/apr/02/gibraltar-u16s-macedonia-goal-celebrations Gibraltar win an u16 tornament. In the final Macedonia score a goal seconds from the end. Their players celebrate and rush to their bench to include non playing members of the team. In doing so they go into their own half of the pitch. Gibraltar quickly restart the match and put the ball in an empty net, thereby winning the competition. Some very quick thinking by one of the Gibraltar players.
Quick thinking. Good for them. Rubbish officiating. At least one if not two outside agents were on the pitch at the restart. The goal should not have been allowed.
Real Madrid 9 Bale 25′Ronaldo 30′, 36′, 38′, 54′, 89′Benzema 52′, 56′Mainz 83′ (og) Granada CF 1 Ibáñez Castro 74′ Think the Pozzos might need cheering up a bit.
Mackay has been sacked from Wigan. Not sure if that has anything to do with the text investigation the FA are doing?
Job was a bit of a poisoned chalice in my opinion, although MM does seem to have become a bit of a dinosaur
I see that Bournemouth have been the beneficiaries of 15 penalties and 10 red cards this season. Apparently Southend are next in that list and have had 9 penalties awarded to them...
The argument is that they are very attacking and quick which is true but then so are Norwich/Us and Derby - not had that many at all. Maybe its just one of those quirky stats like Palace a few years ago.
Would be interesting to see how many of those Wilson have won too. He is fast but he really does go down easily. Was speaking to a Bournemouth-supporting friend over the weekend and they have noticed it too, and is starting to worry he may get a reputation... Not that anyone seems to be picking up on it yet!
A bit confusing, but slightly topical - Argentinian ref reverses both a penalty decision and a red card due to video evidence. Caused a bit of angst - but shows that it can be done...
Bit of a buffoon for giving it in the first place. I just want the officials to improve their judgement calls and their application of the law right. Goal line technology I get, this stuff could cause riots.
