To all those who missed posting it is possible to set up a Standing Order, which will be used only if you fail to predict. These can be Chippy-like in their simplicity (copy @Ben 10), a fixed score (eg 2-1 to home team, home 10 first scorer) or JoelintonLeftfoot-like in their complexity (2-0 to the team with more points at beginning of play or 1-1 if same points, pre-named scorer for each team to be used). Means you wont miss out on a week.
My standing order in case I forget is a 1-0 home win and the fgs will be the number 9 if he plays or number 10 if not.
Friday 10th December Brentford 2-1 Watford Mbuemo Saturday 11th December Manchester City 3-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers Bernardo Arsenal 2-1 Southampton Odegaard Chelsea 2-0 Leeds United Jorginho Liverpool 3-1 Aston Villa Jota Norwich City 0-3 Manchester United Ronaldo Sunday 12th December Brighton & Hove Albion 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur Moura Burnley 0-2 West Ham United Soucek Leicester City 1-2 Newcastle United Goalinton Crystal Palace 1-2 Everton Richarlison Tuesday 14th December Brentford 0-2 Manchester United Bruno Fernandes Norwich City 0-2 Aston Villa Watkins Manchester City 4-1 Leeds United Mahrez Wednesday 15th December Brighton & Hove Albion 1-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers Trossard Burnley 2-1 Watford Wood Crystal Palace 2-1 Southampton Zaha Arsenal 2-1 West Ham United Aubamayeng Thursday 16th December Leicester City 2-0 Tottenham Hotspur Barnes Chelsea 2-0 Everton Lukaku Liverpool 2-0 Newcastle United Salah
Then I'll take the 1 that scores 1st Alphabetically 1st when joint? Don't want to make it too complicated though
My fall back standing order is 1. 2-1 home win if the home team are in the top half of the League at the time of kick off. 2. 1-2 home defeat if the home team are in the lower half of the League at the time of kick off subject to point 3. 3. If Newcastle are the home team and in the lower half of the League at the time of kick off then 3-1 home win. 4. Notwithstanding points 1 to 3 inclusive every fifth game to be 1-1 draw except if the fifth game involves Newcastle in which case it is the game following which will be a 1-1 draw. 5. First goal scorer to be the second highest goal scorer for the home team but only goals in League games counting and if more than one the second alphabetically being the one picked except for Man City where it would be the third highest goal scorer and if more than one then first alphabetically in the list.
Is that first name first or last name first for first goal scorer? If it is first name first are you including middle names next or jumping straight to last name? What about the Brazilians where the name they go by could be either their first name or last name or even neither!
Seems fairly straightforward. However: 1. What happens when Newcastle are no longer in the lower half of the league? 2. What happens if the 2nd highest goal scorer scores first and that goal then makes him the highest goal scorer for that team? 3. What happens if there has been crowd trouble at a previous game and a team is made to play at a neutral venue? 4. How do I decide which is the 5th game when 4 games kick off at the same time?
The idea of standing orders is to have predictions as if that person had managed to post predictions on the thread. Therefore choose whichever option gives Trev the least points so that it best reflects his prediction history
