Here we have a tribute thread to the man who has done so much for Sunderland FC and the fans and in just a few posts it descends to a name calling load of abuse. Come on guys, for once, and in honour of a man who has done so much for the name of football please treat each other with some respect. I'm sure that Niall would like to see that. Niall, thanks for everything you have done in the name of, and for Sunderland FC and the fans. You will never be forgotten.
Because he got himself wound up by being too thick to understand my original post, so I went with it and reeled the ****er in.
Well said mate , I am afraid we have a large section of posters on here who thinks it is fair game to verbally assault anyone they fancy. Instead of remembering a great man they happily turn it into a slanging match, shame.
Great man Niall who all of us fans of SAFC are duly proud to call one of our "Legends", a term often bandied around about people but rarely with much conviction nor accuracy. Not this time.
Arise Sir Internet Warrior, may we give thanks for your contribution to humanity...long may you post on our illustrious board
I thought I was bad, acting the warrior on the internet. You, however, think you're the ****ing Queen! <madness>
Oh dear...I feel that some of our neighbours have sank to new depths on here today.... As for SNQ, he was a hero of mine as a player, as a chairman, as a club ambassador and as a man..I don't think I could pick a single memory out of so many..
Scatty you were the first person I thought of when I heard this heartbreaking news - knowing your huge affection for him! Good luck and many thanks Niall - you will always stay in our hearts. Come back and visit often. xx
Mr, nay, St. Quinn, you are a legend. A complete an utter ****ing legend. I love you as much as one man can love another without actually being homosexual. Thank you for everything, you wonderful person.
I truly love this man. I have joyfully followed him his entire career and it is he who brought my crazy inexplicable allegiance to Sunderland SAFC. I have regaled his accomplishments for over 20 years to all the Brit expats here (so many, where the fook do you all come from!) and we have had some great craic with Quinn stories. My Everton mate, who worked for many years for the local cable company (tv, internet) has a favorite. While on a job at a house not far from mine, he noticed all sorts of footy pictures on the wall. He asked the wife why, and she mentioned her husband was John Doyle, USA international player and San Jose Earthquakes player. They banter about and she begins to tell some stories from Doyle's Int'l play. Her favorite: A friendly against Ireland. Corner kick. Doyle is marking Quinn. Pushing and shoving. More pushing and shoving. Finally, Quinn smashes him in the face with an elbow, and Doyle responds "what the **** did you do that for?" To which Quinn replies, "and there's plenty more where that come from if you want it laddy!" I've told that story too many times. Once more won't hurt. Cheers Niall, my hero.
Its a sad day when a Sunderland legend leaves and some of you want to do is fight, I'm sure Niall would be very proud.
