Christ, that game of ours against Swansea is huge for them. Their next five games (all PL) include away games v Liverpool, Chelsea and City. Huge pressure therefore on the one against us amongst that.

Not as tough as Hull, mind. They have Chelsea, Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal all in a row next in the PL - also three away.

Really looking like a big game for us too.

On another note, out of interest what game is scheduled for weekend of 25/26th Feb?

Going to see that tomorrow.
Going Tuesday with my 2 for 1 Meerkat tickets. Bargain.

We need PL points, so hard choice for Puel with the Leicester match just before the Liverpool cup game. On the other hand, I'm going to the Leicester one as a Xmas present so he'd better factor that in<grr> I think we will beat Norwich anyway if we cut out silly stuff. Leicester is winnable, but the cup game is a massive consideration. I jut hope we don't get caught between two stools and win neither. Realistically, I'm going for:

Norwich 2-0 win
Leicester 1-1
Liverpool 2-0 loss (but still a bit hopeful of a draw :))
Swansea 1-1
West Ham 2-0 win
Sunderland 3-1 win

So 8/12 points (and I'm not even on the gin :))

Gardos. McCarthy. Are they ever going to return? Both would surely be certain starters against Norwich if fit and available. Assuming neither are available, I think my next three XIs would be something like:

NORWICH

Lewis
Martina Stephens Yoshida McQueen/Bertrand
Davis Reed Clasie/PEH
Redmond Jay Sims

LEICESTER

Forster
Cedric Stephens Virgil McQueen
JWP Romeu Reed/PEH
Sims Long Tadic

LIVERPOOL

Forster
Cedric Yoshida Virgil Bertand
Davis Romeu Clasie
Redmond Jay Tadic

No-one who starts against Liverpool also starts in both of the previous two. And a fair amount of those who start against Liverpool, don't start against Leicester. (But it's that which in turn means we can maybe go slightly stronger vs Norwich than otherwise would have been the case)

This I believe is similar to how Puel probably plans his lineups.....at least 3 matches at a time.

However frustrating people find the rotation (me included at times) - no-one can deny that he had the right players playing in the Liverpool game and they all looked ready for it

Same with Romeu. If Romeu gets injured, we are in trouble.

In trouble, yes. No-one could deny that. But I still think we would survive. Whereas if Sunderland lose Defoe to injury (or sell!!), or Hull lose Snodgrass, or Boro lose Negredo, or Swansea lose Sigurdsson, then they're more than in trouble - in all honestly, they're relegated.

I'd say Swansea are already relegated tbh. Probably Hull too.
