I am a loser , a massive pessimistic ****e , so what , do you think my worries are and woes are read and heeded then man you are crazy , crazier than Gene Wilder in Silverstreak .
I suggest you take life less seriously and realise I am nervous but not serious about it , also why the abuse ? Not needed lad , not needed .
How on earth did you come to this? Why get nervous about football, especially when we aren't even bloody playing. It's advice.
Ha ha , so you are telling me you only get nervous about things you can control ? I think it's normally the other way around . Advice like that is crap , so if your National side got to the world cup final you would not be nervous , or a match against them down the road ? Are you a man without emotion ? The chicks don't dig that you know , they like a few tears etc etc blah blah blah
Come on lads. Together as one! We all act and feel differently but the most important thing is we all support the Saints!
I have never been nervous when going to a football match, and never will be. It's a football match. I have however been nervous when playing, but that was a fair amount of time ago now. Football is a day out, few beers with friends, a game for a break in the day/bit of 'entertainment' then back out to a few bars... I don't see how people get so wound up in the whole thing that they become so nervous and thus letting football dictate the rest of their lives leaving them in a constant state of anxiety.
Worst thing that can happen is that we are playing in the championship next year, something this time last year we were desperate for so chins up. Yeah we might well miss out with a record amount of points but the club is going from strength to strength and another year of football like we have had would certainly not go amiss.
I still play football , I don't get nervous about that , I get nervous about what I can not control , its about the things you can not control as if I **** up at least I know its me . Exactly the same with work as well .
I don't think we will get another chance as good as this one , Leicester , Leeds and forest will all add .
I am not so sure . Bristol will be fighting for their lives ( Drew with Brum at Brum after being LEADING ) , Leicester may well still be fighting for a play off place . I can see them beating hull though . If we fail to win on tuesday night , I fear for us even IF we end up in the play offs . If we win I can see us drawing at Boro & beating coventry .
it's all very uncomfortable however I think we will win all our remaining games. I'm hoping Reading stuff up at Birmingham so we win the league. Onward and upward COYR - FOP
Generally I have forgotten a defeat and moved on after about an hour or so of getting home. This time though it is very strange because I think my confidence has gone. In all the years I watched Saints battle away to avoid relegation I really never got nervous as I always thought we would pull something out of the bag and we would be safe. At the moment I wish I was going away on holiday for a fortnight so that when I came home the whole thing would be settled.
Unless it's catastrophic (losing FA Cup semi, for example) I usually talk myself out of things, but that's easier with 10 matches to go...not so easy with just three. I get a lot of pleasure from football on TV and internet discussions, but it has taken me till now to turn Sky back on. Couldn't bear to see Reading match or WHU game. I can now see that it is still in our own hands and we could win on Tuesday and be one step nearer the end, but doubt is setting in for the first time...not because we are worse than we were or incapable of winning, but because bad things happen and there is no time to put it right. Just hoping that works for WHU and Reading as well.
