Yes they are. But I draw the line at people directly insulting other posters. And where exactly is he horrible to new posters?
Nope, don't see it. Has he quoted anyone when he makes that comment? No so how can it be judged that he has directed that comment at anyone in particular? @Che’s Godlike Thighs is clearly just tired of all the negative comments.
If you can’t see that they are being rude/hostile to a new poster then I question your suitability as a moderator.
Please, do provide evidence that he has been directly rude and hostile to a poster and I will gladly take action.
You don’t see it, others do. I can point it out but you will argue the toss about people not being quoted etc.
We’re supposed to be a friendly board and should be welcoming new posters. It would be a boring place if it ended up being 3 or 4 people talking about saints.
I am as negative as the next guy, but I do think Che’s comment is clearly general frustration with the tone of conversation and not directed at any one person. It was a bit strong but not the same as being called out personally and insulted.
Anyone who didn’t know we were getting relegated this season has issues, by the way!

Also, does your 'friendly board' idea include posters calling others 'horrible prick' and 'dozy twat'? There's only one poster on this thread that needs his wrists slapped, and it isn't me.
But then you've liked a post where that poster has been directly abusive to another poster? Bit hypocritical from yourself.
The reality on here is we are a board who generally welcome fans with differing opinions, and in general are open to (at times) lively debate over these.
But historically (and now!) when Saints are struggling those opposing views become less tolerant of each other and a little more tetchy.
Best if everyone remembers that overall we’re here to support the sane team,, we can’t ultimately affect what happens to them very much, and it’s exhausting finding things to be miserable about all the time so look for the lighter hearted side of things instead!

I think have repeatedly demonstrated on here how easy it is to get along with everyone and that you should all take a leaf out of my book.

I liked the response to the initial hostile post, because it was defending our right to complain.
I never said it was ok to call someone a twat. The only reason I became involved is that a new poster may have been made to feel unwelcome. I just pointed it out as it wasn’t just one person.

This is getting really petty, I’m not going down the route of ‘evidence’. I chimed in to say that I thought the posts were unwelcoming and that’s all.
