A busy and difficult February follows the QPR game, culminating in the LOCAL derby v Cardiff.
18 pts up for grabs enough to put us 4 points in front of Wolves should they lose 3 and draw 3 ....
I have been rather conservative on my points predictions thus far and from the 18 up for grabs I think we may scrape by with 9 unless Lois fits in well AND HITS THE GROUND RUNNING we do not lose any of the present squad and get a bit of luck. I cannot see us getting more than 10

 

1 DOWN 3 IN THE BAG it was expected this should be 3 points... so 6 from next 15 pts !

 

Will be interesting to see whether Cardiff rough us up like they did to Manchester City in the FA Cup yesterday,

I'm fairly sure I know what the answer is already !

3 in the bag and 3 down the swaneee... only saving grace was it is 3 points that do not enhance one of the 7 teams we are fighting for the chance to go to Wemglee

ARE we doing enough to warrant our "above average" performance this season?
I checked back over the current bottom 10 teams ( positions are obviously dynamic as teams trend through about 5-6 positions )
that's 60 points up for grabs and really we should be getting 2 pts per game to automatically qualify ! so 40 would be a good yardstick from 10 teams at bottom
WE have managed ........ 28pts from 42 pts having played 14 games of the 20 SO we are on target!
ONLY 2 LOSSES Bolton and Brum *#*
4 draws Sheff Wed *#*, QPR, Sunderland and Burton **
WINS are 8 Reading x2 ( total 6 pts ) QPR ( 4 pts ) Sunderland (4 pts ) & 3pts from Florest **, Hull *#*, Barnsley **, and 3 of 6 from Bolton

I was of the opinion we didn't do well against teams from the basement, but must say My opinion has been somewhat enhanced!

well 2 games to go Fulham and Cardiff SO FAR from 12 points we have managed JUST 5 .... NO WAY NEAR being a team worthy of top 6 ...... we will be very lucky to get 6 let alone 9

 

The league table doesn’t lie guys - not now or at the close of the season.
NOT ‘happy-clapping’ - but remember that all but 5 teams’ supporters would happily swop places with us right now.

 

WELL 6 from 15 and just Cardiff to go ......... we could start Sunday in 9th position with Sheff u having a game in hand as well ... A DRAW V CARDIFF IS A MUST

We had a real wobble over Christmas losing all 4 games. Unbeaten since with 6 wins and 2 draws.
Wolves and derby wobbling at the moment.
At these times it's as much about the manager as the players.
Warnock knows the league inside out and is confident in what he does.
Johnson seems to be panicking a bit. That makes players nervous.
It'l be interesting to see how Nuno steadied the ship. Had it largely his own way so far. Now it's a bit tough we'll see what he's made of. Still fancy them to finish top.
