Would anyone like a pint of my lovely cider, thatl cheer you up
Man City had 26 shots and only 4 were on target. That's how good our defending was today.
I'll stick with my Peroni thanks.
Was Angelino offside in the build up to their goal? Looked really tight, but no one focused on it at all on my stream
The counter argument to that though is that those eight sides in the top half have had the advantage of playing against us. Someone like West Ham, for example, could say that if they had played us already then they might be in the top half right now too.
F**K off . What have you been drinking ?
Jack with a point to prove. That can only help us, we need options.
or, if we had played all of the 6 teams around us at the bottom we could be in the top half
we've somehow not played any of them.
Yep, there's no denying that the fixtures haven't favoured us to date. Indeed, you could argue that our season starts right now.
Chemicals as far as I can tell.
Sickner losing that so late on, but it was so important to go toe to toe today. Next week we play Everton, and if they beat us, we start being cut adrift of the line. Watford and Norwich are not who we are chasing. ****s about to get real.
Our team is a bit sh*t.
BUT, Saints have had a few of them over the years. Putting up a fight against a team fancied to (and maybe should) put at least 6 past us is better than that bloody mess agaist Brenda's bunch.
If we'd gone down 8-0 again I don't think this bunch of players, or coaching staff, would recover.
It gives us something to build on, modest though that is. Not exactly proud maybe, relieved and just a tiny bit hopefull.
At least I'll be able to clap the team on to the pitch against Everton now, that was very much in doubt until they showed some fight.
Be careful that lineker is likely to show those 9goals again to show how our defending had improved.you know what a dick he can be!
Another plus was the return of Moussa.thought he looked very positive in the short time he was on
Yep I thought that too. I think with a more settled (ie not panicked) backline, we could see a lot of him and Boufal. I hope Boufal doesn't get disheartened and go on the self destruct if he doesn't get much game time over the next few weeks.
Bring on Everton.....feeling positive about this one.
...It's the hope that kills you.....
The Leicester debacle can now be put on the bonfire.
We have played the champions of England away twice in a week. We have lost both but shown that commitment and team work and we can be a lot more optimistic. I hold a Roman candle to that performance, a team of sparklers and hopefully we will rocket up the table
