… but last minute equaliser for Oxford !
Well played. Well organised and composed. no panicky defending. didnt know they had it in them!
No complaints about that one, really.
Genuinely devastated ... we were outstanding and deserved at least a point. Only negative was McCarthy missing the ball for their winner, really.
**** off Liverpool as well.
Great stuff, and loved the cameo from Djenepo.
Kind of feel for LincolnSaint here as he only comes on when we lose, which we have, but we played well and looked united, with the manager playing a tactically sound hand. Going to be tough for him to decide what to do here...
What a ****ing horrible ten minutes.
I'd say it's more than just a case of "could be".
I couldn't give two hoots that Liverpool won it in the last minute. It's all about Villa losing it in the last minute.
How has pride been restored? Unless I'm very much mistaken, we've lost. We're still in the relegation zone, with a very poor team. Not sure why people are proud of that.
Well, that is quite clearly an improvement on what we have seen recently. Yet will mean bugger all against Everton. We are in desperate need of a win and if that doesn't come against Everton i do worry for Ralph
Ok who thought we'd be disappointed at 3pm today? Well done Saints,**** happens.
They aren't. They are proud of today's performance considering how sh*t we are. We are all well aware that today means nothing in the long term and that points are the only thing that matter. It is just good for everyone that we kept it tight and didnt get smashed again.
Because the chances we were going to beat City pre-match were virtually impossible, so many of us just wanted to see a good performance we could build on?
No-one is proud of being in the relegation zone, they're proud of how well we played against the odds.
If we put ourselves in decent positions to get points, we need to take them - whomever we are playing against.
I liked the no nonsense defending today. No indecision, it lead to Saints making few mistakes.
With Djenepo back hopefully we can start afresh picking up points next weekend.
No offence, but given you can't understand it (when it really, really isn't difficult to understand), I wouldn't be surprised if a fair people come to the conclusion that there's no reasoning with you, and instead turn to the ignore button.
We have lost 9-0 . Lost 3-1 in a cup game . Gone to one of the best teams in the world away and Lost 2-1 .
We led for ages , defended very well .
Even I can see a lot of positives from today .
You dont have to be sorry
A word for Stephens & Vestegaard today - absolutely outstanding. Both had a lot of **** thrown their way, but hav justified a spot in the XI for the next game imo.
An improvement, but the benchmark is pretty low. We defended well, but its not really enough to 'park a bus' in this league. Still looking relegation material.
Sorry, l do not subscribe to the view that pride has been restored.
