lol we'll see buddy, he's got to catch him first without using newer tyres and KERS. But I do think he's holding back on the number 1 finger stunt now, it was only meant for fun but it looks like he doesn't want to annoy people with it now lol. You just have to look at the Formula 3 days that vettel is more than a match for Lewis, since he always struggles to get past the likes of Alonso and Vettel even with an advantage. Still gona have to wait until 2012 for Lewis' contract ro run out though
Kimi's Ferrari Contract ran out at the end of 2010 but where was he? Same with Liuzzi Force India until the end of 2011. Contracts are made to be broken
Well the difference was that they wanted them out for "more profiled" drivers. Tbh I would want Lewis in Mercedes to see how he would fare against Nico and help bring back the SilverArrows of the 50's, see how he does against a driver while not on his "home turf"=No negative point intended.
Hamilton maybe the best racer, but he's far too inconsistent. He's never won 3 races in a row, and has a tendancy to fall apart when the pressure is on, almost as much as Alonso does. Th person I'd really like to see replace Webber is Kobayashi. I think he'd blow Vettels and Hamiltons doors off, always the best of the rest, and remains unbeaten on track against his team-mate except for one very changeable weather race. A great obver taker that rarely hits his targets, unlike the last Vettel, Webber, Hamilton & Alonso. One thing I really don't like about Hamilton seems to be his new penchant for 'mouthing off' to the press about his rivals, I think that may have something to do with his new manager, Simon Fuller.
@miggins That's the major difference with Vettel and Lewis. Vettel want's to do less PR and more simulator work while Lewis want's to do more PR. It'll bite him in the ass one day if he goes off and does a Rocky 3 kind of stunt. Seb doesn't want a manager for his F1 career and even Lauda praises him for it. That's true about Kobayashi, he would be a bloody mental teammate to cope within any team I reckon.
Miggins, Whilst I agree with the general gist of your post I feel that what we see in the media about what drivers say and do should be taken with a pinch of salt. The media will always exaggerate and pick out quotes to make a story, headlines like "Hamilton content" or "Alonso enjoyed pleasant race" don't really sell as well as "Perez hates Kobi's guts". don't know why I picked those drivers but there you go What all drivers need to do is practice as much as possible so they don't fall backwards as their rivals excel.
BLS, yeah, I know what your saying, it was in the Sun afterall (it generally has a decent sports section online, for footy at least. And that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!), but that's the place Simon Fuller is more 'acclimatised' to, I don't think it's a coincidence that the 2 have, er, coincided. He's not my favourite, admittedly, but that doesn't mean I don't want to see him win, he's in my top 5 atm, but as long as the cars not bright red I don't really mind who wins, as long as we get a good race. I would love to see him give all the celebrity and PR crap the heave ho, tell all the money men to go jump and become the champion he undoubtedly can become, because he is a joy to watch
