, far from your opinions a couple of weeks ago when Bale was compared to Ronaldo. By the way, who's Martin O'neal?Mourinho first choice if we get CL, if not I'd be happy with Hiddink again. Zola if not.
Yeah that's the only reason I'd be inclined not to give him the reigns. But he seems like he's got a brilliant managerial career ahead of him.
I would've thought a proven successful manager is what you need so that were things not to go right straight away there would still be confidence that he can lead you forward, Chelsea's clearly not an easy club to walk into these days. Then again, Ancelotti represented that kind of option and Abramovich still gave him the boot.
Ultimately it's down to Abramovich lowering his expectations as regardless of what kind of manager you go for, you're not going to get the best out of them because for that you need to keep someone long term and no matter how talented the manager they'll also need a good chunk of luck to bring immediate success and continue it every season after - which seems to be the only way to avoid the sack with Abramovich.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing who your next manager will be - and whether they make the rich list in a couple of years time (max).

Totally wreeks of hope rather than belief, in that these people "hope" its not Mourinho, because he is one of the two best managers in the world, the other being a certain Knighted Scot.
He will probably leave Real at the end of this season, and has said he wants his next job to be in the PL.
Where can he go?
Man Utd = No chance, unless SAF retires, which is isnt gonna happen this year.
Arsenal = They wouldnt pay him what he wanted, and again, this would only be an option if Wenger were sacked, which is unlikely.
Spurs = AVB looks to be doing a decent job and has them contending for CL spots, so dont think he will get sacked.
So if he wants to come back to the PL, its Chelsea really.
A club that he already knows the workings of, the fans already love him, the senior players adore him, and the only team he has managed with whom he hasnt won the CL before leaving (hopefully he will do it before leaving Real this year). Jose is the kind of ego that would be annoyed by that tarnish on his record and would want to change it.
For me the only thing that will stop JM coming back will be if he cant work things out with Roman in terms of board influence and signings.

To be honest I forgot about City. Its the most likely after Chelsea. I think it would be a tad premature for them to sack mancini to be honest on the back of 2 top two finishes and most likely an FA Cup win.
His CL form has left alot to be desired. They have suffered from bad groups due to low seeding, but then again so did Chelsea between 2004 and 2007 and we always made it past the group stage. He should be given another season imo to try get the title back and improve their CL form.
Keep up. We keep them on the payroll until they get a new job,no big payoffs now.
