Aye Aye MBC, he may well still be a Premier League Midfield player had he not played through some nasty injuries to help the cause. Thats whats done him, I don't get our support, some are part of the problem not the solution. I've heard Kilbane say they used to dread running out at home because of this lot. KTF lad

Billy Jones signed for Rotherham. Thank **** for that. Absolute ****e. Complete and utter disgrace of a footballer.
He did however it doesn’t matter how hard you try if you’re ****. It’s a results based business and there’s a reason he was our first choice right back for the back to back relegations.
Don’t get me wrong don’t think he’s good or anything but if the rest of the players put the effort in that he did I don’t think we’d be where we are right now.
That will be an absolute stinker if Portsmouth outbid us. I've just got a gut feeling he's gunna score a lot of goals wherever he goes.
He looks like a natural goal scorer but if he doesn't want to come to Sunderland that's another one off the list. It sounds like Cheltenham didn't play him tonight to avoid any injury so it looks like he will be leaving in the next few days. They want £1.5M for him - still a bit of a risk, but I'd like us to push the boat out and up our offer.
We certainly pay for our sins of the past....probably going to see the same with Beadling in a couple of years...
He left us 4 years ago to play in league 1 when we were a premier league team. We were hardly going to have the foresight to keep him in case we dropped 2 divisions and he became useful. You can't keep all of your youngsters and you can't get top dollar for all of them. He needed to leave to become the player he is. Just circumstances.
if I'm right hasn't this kid played all his football in the sunny South and may well be someone who doesn't fancy the long trip up to the far North east. I could be wrong but it has been the case in the past when influencing footballers who perceive 'up north ' just a step too far.
His brother plays for Shrewsbury though, which suggests that they're not necessarily unwilling to move around to further their careers.
Thats what I hinted at yesterday mate. We should outmatch anything Portsmouth can put in the table. Except the weather. And some of these kids, bless 'em, think Sunderland's near Iceland and Norway, and that it takes 3 flights and 4 buses to get back down south!!!
