If the linesman gave Spain the perfectly legitimate goal in the quarter final, Gareth Southgate wouldn't have missed a penalty in the semi due to England not being in it.
IMO an average team in a poor tournament which apart from Cameroon was pretty dire. In fact West Germany were so average they had to knock down the Berlin wall to obtain some fresh players.
