What does John mean when he writes Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin;

John 5:9. “Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in Him: and he cannot sin, because He is born of God.”

And does it nor contradict:

1 John 1:8

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
