Just watched some of the protests against Trump's victory and loved one banner which read - without immigrants, Trump would have no wives!!!! <laugh>

As with Brexit, those who are protesting against the USA election result are protesting against democracy <ok>

But were her and her party complaining about the system during their past successes? Only the losers tend to complain about systems being unfair. The UK system is of course totally ridiculous but the parties all know what they're campaigning within. Trouble is to change the system you have to win by it first and then will you want to?

    Bah!

I completely agree with you GM, I was just pointing out to KIO that in a truly democratic system, she actually won! <ok>

In a truly democratic system we would have many UKIP MP's 3,881,129 voted for them in the last GE
They had the third largest share of the vote but have only one MP <ok>

And unless some system of proportional representation is introduced, they feel - quite rightly, imo, that their votes are technically totally wasted. Hence the apathy in future elections, etc.

Rich, you compared the Clinto v Trump vote to our Brexit vote in which every vote counted in true democratic style.

If you change the rules halfway it's not a true comparison!

I'm sure America has plenty of home grown gold diggers. I don't understand why he needed to import one, seems to conflict with his alleged views on race and trade.
