Hillsborough in the semi in 73 for me. I was at both games against an Citeh but by the time we got to the semi's I thought this is too good to be true. We were up against 'lucky' Arsenal. When Vic scored early it was pandemonium....it was crazy being there. Never forget that day as long as I live. Billy Hughes added the second......ok I thought is this really going to happen? Us from division two going to make it to Wembley....nahhhh....something is going to go tits up....it's what we specialize at. Getting into squeaky bum time and Charlie George scores....lucky Arsenal again right? Those last few minutes I felt I was on the pitch a long side Watson and Pitt as I was clearing everything out the box. Heading and kicking every ball. Then ref blew the final whistle......cue madness and delirium.....

I've been told that Micky and Clive were mates from school when they were classmates.

I saw that game and Sabella was unbelievable, we tried to sign him that season, he was at the club with his agents for a day or two, I was so dissapointed when he turned us down, why we will never know, but what a game he had, the only comparison I can draw was seeing George Best playing for Man U at Roker Park one afternoon when every time he got the ball the atmosphere turned electric. I saw Shackleton play, but it was in his twilight days and I went to his testimonial game having grown up with people who idolised him. In his testimonial he re-created one of his specialities running through the mid-field keeping the ball in the air with his head, legend.
