Rough morning today. We just had a night full of looting and fires in La Mesa. You won't see it in the news in England because they are concentrating on the bigger cities but check out La Mesa on Twitter to see what went down in my neighbourhood. Two miles from where I live now, the city I lived in for 8 years got real messy last night. It got worse after dark with looters coming in from out of town and burning and looting small businesses and shopping malls. Two banks were set on fire, vehicles ablaze and supermarkets and department stores robbed. We've been out this morning to help the community clean up after the peaceful protest at the police station turned sour. I hope it doesn't kick off again tonight.
