Dear me, both Manchester clubs owned by people with little interest in football ... ... the PL can see this is all killing the soul of the game but just turn a blind eye. It's all very sad but it's irreversible.
I know the premier league has to be the ultimate goal for us but I despise what it has become, I love the competitiveness of the championship, Huddersfield play off final last year relegation battle this year, it’s wide open it’s brilliant, the premier league realistically your fighting for 7th or 8th at best it’s just abit depressing
Valencia are in a right mess. Currently one point clear of relegation: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/64545162.amp Peter Lim has been Valencia owner since 2014 but has not attended a Valencia game since 2018 Fans were optimistic Lim's takeover, through his Hong Kong-based Meriton Holdings company, would propel Valencia back to the summit of European football - the lofty heights they occupied at the turn of the century with consecutive Champions League final appearances in 2000 and 2001 and two La Liga titles in 2002 and 2004. But the initial goodwill towards Lim soon started to dissipate following a series of strange managerial appointments and a close relationship with super-agent Jorge Mendes. Valencia-based journalist Paco Polit is clear about why the tide started to turn against Lim, who also co-owns English League Two club Salford City alongside a group of former Manchester United players including his most unsuccessful coaching appointment, Gary Neville. "The change in attitude towards Lim started in the summer of 2015," Polit told BBC Sport. "Having been his biggest advocate and helping him buy the club for peanuts, president Amadeo Salvo left after a power struggle with Jorge Mendes and [then-manager and Mendes client] Nuno Espirito Santo. The subsequent cascade of mistakes seriously damaged Lim's public image."
These pundits box themselves into a sanctimonious moral high ground with kneeling, ribbons, etc ... ... then bend themselves inside out defending their club when it suits them. Shearer's stance on the Mag ownership is so hypocritical he can't look into the camera.
But,but, but the other clubs are doing it. if he is paid enough he will say what they want him to say, the f*cking hypocrite
It's all a farce. European Super League is even closer if this goes through, and they are welcome to it.
"It's always been my dream to win the European Super League for Tottenham"......said absolutely no ****er.......ever.
Must admit I've never heard his opinion on it all as I don't watch anything he is on anymore. Not particularly got a problem with him just have no interest in motd and ****e.
I think Man United fans may protest against state ownership (but more so because there's another offer on the table so they won't lose out on billions being spent).
Maybe, they'll be plenty who will accept it, especially with the success City have had since they sold their soul.
