It’s almost laughable isn’t it how hard it is to pass here. It does need a facelift to justify the word “race” in future, don’t you think?
Imagine Max spends 50 laps on Hamilton’s gearbox and then doesn’t get on the podium due to the 5 seconds

I can't imagine Vettle overtaking Max, too much risk plus the 5 sec penalty. So unless Max takes a lunge at Lewis they will finish as they are now (well Max back 5 sec).
It was a bit stupid so late. Even if he had made the pass he would have had so little time to pull out a 5 sec gap.
I respect him for at least trying. Otherwise, they could have just looped the footage of the last 30 laps and I wouldn't have been able to tell.
I think Hamilton hasn't got much to worry about there, got clipped by a locked up car that was already running wide.
It was worth a go but not so late with the 5 sec penalty hanging over him. I think it was just Max getting frustrated too much. It was not worth the risk so late. A few laps earlier yes but not within the last 2 laps.
