Who gives a **** about EU rules, we wont be in it, so their rules wont apply to us.

And which rule says we cannot leave without a deal?! Tusk, Juncker and Barnier have been saying for months they have been preparing for a No Deal Brexit, so which EU rule stops us leaving without a deal?
Its only the cowardice of our Tory government that has prevented it from happening.

Its the same with the Irish border problem, everyone has been saying "Having an open border between ireland and NI compromises the integrity of the Single market! What are we going to do?".
The answer is nothing, we do nothing, we wont be in the single market so it will not be our concern. It is Ireland's problem, they break the GFA and build a border between themselves and NI, they leave the EU also, or they try to convince the EU of another way.....but as far as the UK is concerned, its not our problem, its Ireland's problem they have to choose unity with their Northern Irish brothers or Unity with the EU.

We are a member of the EU and have to adhere to the exit rules.

Did you think we would be able to cherry pick the best parts of our relationship with the EU ie we'll keep free trade thanks but **** off with your freedom of movement? Why would they bend their rules for us?

We can leave without a deal but that would be monumentally stupid which is why everyone in Parliament, trade and industry, other than the fantasists and self serving opportunists, is against it.

Yes Ireland should exit the EU because they have a border with NI. That sounds perfectly reasonable.

There isn't a single negative economic consequence of Brexit that would convince me that leaving is a bad idea.

    Its up to them.
They can break the GFA if they wish, and we can re hash it, and make a new one.

Correct ... that huge land mass just across the channel with whom we do most of our international trading will have absolutely no influence or control over matters that will affect our economic well being from now on ... we will instead survive by catching flocks of winged porcine creatures in the nets of our now defunct fishing fleet and by growing arable crops fertilized by the piles of Unicorn dung that Moggy and his band have been excreting and stockpiling for months . <cheers>

Or they say that it's our problem, leave the border open and so there is still freedom of trade and movement into the UK.

    fine by me.
I dont give a **** about immigration, the UK has benefited far more than it has ever suffered from Immigration.
We still have a back door to the single market, via Ireland, and pay the EU nothing for the benefit....win win.

We also now have an issue where a small minority would be pleased if we do leave the EU. Either we leave with no deal and what, <10% of voters would have had that as an original plan?

Or we leave with May's deal which probably has about just as much support as no deal. Pisses off both remainers and people who want no deal.

Or we remain and almost 50% of the electorate is happy.

    This is utter guff.

We'd not be protecting our own market, and carrying out checks to ensure the integrity of that market, so we'd be reported to the WTO from day 1, by any nations who fancied sticking the boot in.

So of course it's our problem, especially as leaving the EU was our ****ing choice. Suggesting that Ireland would somehow have a choice to make between NI & the EU is plain ignorance of the actual reality of what is going on.

I am not saying that will happen, Stan said it, not me.
I am just saying, in the extremely unlikely event that it did, I wouldnt give a ****.
None of the UK's problems have been caused by Freedom of Movement from the EU, so its fine by me.
I am opposed to outside governing bodies, dictating policy to the UK.
I am philosophically opposed to the EU and everything it stands for, and I am baffled as to how anyone who even remotely believes in democracy could think otherwise.

Email your MP, maybe no one has thought of this radical, fool proof solution.

So if you lost your job, couldn't pay the mortgage and lost your home, that'd be a price worth paying for 'freedom' from a non existent bogeyman?

    hahahaha, whatever mate.
