Can I bring in Parking Wardens

Yesterday evening around 4.45pm I witnessed
a parking warden outside leaning against my neighbours wall so I kept an eye on him waiting for him to strike.
A couple of minutes later he's off and slaps a ticket on the offending car (time must of been up)
he then proceeds to take photo's of the ticket on the car and all around, nothing wrong with that I hear you say
then suddenly he takes off the ticket and puts it in his pocket and nicks off

I have taken the reg of the car to inform the owner what had happened
(I missed the owner coming back but I know they park here everyday)

I cannot understand why he did this
unless it give the vehicle owner less time to appeal the ticket
all in all, I don't think it right that a parking warden can do this, something fishy going on

I will keep you informed as to what happens

 

It seems like the vile piece of **** is trying to land the motorist with a bigger fine so he may be on some kind of incentive.
If it is a council parking officer then you could argue he's is committing fraud and therefore liable to at very least some kind of disciplinary action... if not criminal prosecution.

When they are for genuine safety then fair play but I see enough cones out on my travels where no roadworks are being done for prelonged periods of time.

The end result... congestion... pissed off motorists and at times accidents or worse.

The highways agency should stop driving round trying to look like police officers on over passes and do something about this.

 

This is what I thought
It was a council parking officer
when I get to see the owner, I'm going to tell them to keep an eye out for any tickets coming through the post
I will also tell them that I would be prepared to go to court for them

if this Parking officer is up to no good he should lose his job

 

I would contact the Council and report him now, rather than waiting for a ticket. Council should be able to identify him and then check his records as to time and date of tickets issued.

Errr, I think.....

 

OK my pet hate is people feeding pigeons. I've got nothing against pigeons themselves. They are perfectly capable of eking out a living without people feeding them. They are effectively vermin that carry disease. They are not an endangered bird that needs a little bit of help from humans to survive because there natural habitat has been destroyed . If you saw someone surrounded by rats as they threw them bits of bread you'd lock them up in a padded cell. Yet people think it's perfectly acceptable for old ladies (and it is mainly old ladies) to do the same with pigeon.

It is this action that has meant that every building in the area has to put spikes on every flat surface to stop their properties drowning under a sea of pigeon s**t. And don't whatever you do park your car under a tree.

Whenever I have the misfortune of flicking over the channels and land on some 'modern comedian' or even worse, loads of the ****s on at the Apollo. Have to agree with this and add to it Cadbury's chocolate when made in tropical climates. I think they add something to it to stop it melting and it ruins the taste. Get mine airflown in from UK.
