The Millwall keepers assault on the Palace forward yesterday is getting much attention on sports stations here as is the vile chants of a section of their fanbase chanting a celebration that he was of to a and e and worse. They really are a despicable outfit and if it was any normal club that keeper would be given an eight match ban at least. The Galatasary of English football

Two committed players going for the ball at full pelt, Roberts was out of his area so couldn't use his hands, in that split decision he went with his feet and not his head, made the wrong choice but still got to the ball first but connected with Mateta in what was a ugly challenge.
No complaints with the red card and three match ban, anyone wanting to change the rules to get his ban extended are total pricks, I'm surprised Leeds fans are jumping on the bandwagon I thought full blooded committed challenges was in their DNA?

Sorry mate, thought your keeper made a cowards challenge. Should have gone with his head as most goalies would have but he didn’t want the inevitable collision with Mateta that would have brought so went in with his foot, which should never have been that high. Personally I’m not calling for an additional ban to the three but he’s only got himself to blame if it comes his way.

The reaction of a section of their fans at the game said a lot about the club. At a time when other clubs are making an effort to make football a family game that lot take pride in their supposed hard man mentality

Like I said he made the wrong choice by going feet first, had he gone with his head he could had been the one clattered, at the end of the day he has apologised to Mateta and Mateta accepted it, we move on.
The only downfall is Roberts is out for the Leeds game next week.

Chants from Leeds fans are hardly family friendly but are just a laugh for those that partake in them, don't join in if you don't like them and if you are offended question yourself is Football really the game for you?

Football at Milwall is not for me. Thankfully I attend my games hundreds of miles away

C'mon me old china, we love a committed challenge, we also call out acts of cowardice like kevin keepan headbutting johnny giles fist in the 1974 charity shield.

It likely was a split second decision from your keeper, and doesn't make him the world's worst person, but it was the wrong decision, he could have headed or chested it. You can't go in that high in the 21st century.

This is the best angle of it:
