There is no escaping the fact that Spurs have been very poor in Europe, so far, this season, whatever the excuses. I don't think you'll find any real Spurs fan try to argue otherwise. Something hasn't clicked, and Poch has got his work cut out to fix the problem fast.

My hope is that we don't carry our abysmal performances in Europe into our domestic form. Chelsea will be a big test of our resolve and of Poch's competence.

You've been riding your luck at times this season and last night it ran out.

That side looks predictable and lacking penetration, Alli and Eriksen aren't on their game and it shows.

I'm hoping that Chelsea take us for granted, at the weekend. Poch left a couple of players on the bench against Monaco, plus he had several players playing out of position. I suspect he did that in order to give us the best chance against Chelsea.

Imagine being that pathetic and so envious of your illustrious rivals that you'd rather play a deliberately weakened side in the Champions League on a night when only a win will do so that you can play your first 11 against them in a game you're almost certain to lose.

Desperate.

What? Like we lost last season at the Bridge, you mean?

Where did I suggest you lost last season?

Chelsea are superb at the minute, Spurs are pretty average at the minute, Chelsea never lose to Spurs...

Signs point to a comfortable home win. I'll go with 4-1. Hazard with two, Costa with one and Luiz with one. Kane (pen) with the other.

If by lost the plot you mean that we kicked 10 barrels of ****e out of the Chavvies and scared greasy Costa into pissing in his keks, then - yeah - we lost the plot.

I think it was more a case of the lads running out of steam and knowing that they wouldn't be able to beat Chelsea, growing frustrated and deciding to kick the ****e of them instead, just for the sheer hell of it - because they could.

You can't blame them for that, Bambi.

It was every bit as good as a loss, Chelsea as so many times before have punished your small clubs lack of ambition. The lucky 2-2 draw you got when WE crowned Leicester champions was as sweet as it gets. Costa is going to tear you and your team a new one!
