There’s a big difference between what a poster chooses to reveal about himself and what is dug up and posted about him without his consent.
Hiag posted himself about being a DG salesman. So, it no longer constitutes ‘personal’ information.

And you were asking somebody to confirm whether it was 'fact' or 'fiction'. HIAG has posted a lot of personal information by your definition and if you're then asking for it to be verified, you're asking for somebody to do the very thing that you've been complaining about.
HIAG was a bit silly in causing a huge fuss over Comm's post ... if he hadn't bothered I think it would have slipped under the radar without anyone taking much notice ... instead it has now been embedded in the public domain on here ...
Quite some time ago brb gave away my first name on here ... it was some time before we had our 'disagreement' on acceptable grounds for banning someone .. I was poking fun at him and he purposely posted something that, if you were astute enough, gave away my first name - I could have done a HIAG but instead I ignored it ... and not one fcuker picked up on it ... unfortunately for HIAG, he actually is the easiest poster to wind-up on here ... not just on this - for which I have some sympathy - but he has thrown his toys out of his pram on many occasions ...
I hope he returns - I'm sure brb will lift the ban in due course ...

It was the whole 'Truth will destroy you' claims that provoked it really. He basically dug his own grave with that.

No you're wrong. You asked for somebody to confirm what job he did. You were asking for somebody to share his personal details. The fact that he comes out with all sorts of **** is neither here nor there. But by asking somebody to actually confirm the truth about him, you are guilty of asking for the very thing that you've been complaining about.
For the very last time, he gave that information freely himself. Therefore it no longer constitutes ‘personal information’
