HIAG's biggest problem was that he was never quite as clever as he thought he was ... and was great at dishing it but not at taking it ... that came back to haunt him in the end as he left way too many clues about his real identity and someone put them together ... nothing I did personally would have made anyone any more the wiser as to his true identity ... he did much more himself.

He may have left several clues to his identity, that does not give others permission to go digging through social media, discover his real identity and then post clear references to it on a public football forum.
Fatty chose to use his real name and give numerous personal details. Sky has chosen to give his real name, and voluntarily post pics of himself - that’s his choice. If you do that yourself you can’t really complain if others make reference to those details. Otherwise, you should expect that your chosen privacy is protected.
To my knowledge Hiag had not chosen to provide clear details of his identity, somebody deliberately went digging and then outed him.

I think his problem was that he made reference to his 'identity' in almost every post, so somebody got curious and discovered that it was all bullshit.
And this is what I and others have a big problem with.
If you can’t be assured of your privacy on a public forum, there’s a good chance many may decide to stop using it altogether.

There's nothing about this site that would reveal your details unless you willingly volunteered them. I don't think it's a problem for 99% of users on here.
HIAG's problem was that he tried to use his 'identity' to put others down. He tried to revel in how he was better than everybody else because of how rich /successful / how many cars / money / trips abroad / his job / his physique / his education and on and on it went.
I think he was begging for somebody to find out and expose the bullshit personally. He's just lucky that it wasn't a nasty **** who found out, because they could have spilled his guts on this forum. As it was, all that was made reference to is that he has a girl's name.
Whatever he posted, whether bullshit or fact, was on a public football forum where we all use pseudonyms for a good reason. None of what he posted justifies outing his real personal details.
If posters feel that their real identity is going to be compromised by people picking up on clues and the outing them, they’ll stop using it.

Nobody has outed his personal details though. They've made reference to the fact that they know the bullshit is just that.
I don't think it should be open season on 'outing' people on here and I agree that we use pseudonyms instead of real names etc. I'd feel sorry for somebody who was 'outed' for no reason, but I don't have any sympathy for HIAG, because he decided to use his 'identity' to try and put other people down. He was asking for somebody to put it straight imo.

It was intimated that they knew who he was but no one posted his name and address or any photos.
I think he just couldn’t deal with not being able to act billy big bollocks on here once he’d clocked that people knew he’d been exaggerating the truth. He talked himself into a mess.
Like I said, I haven’t followed the whole thing. But I know that his real name has been posted on here - what other personal info, I’m not sure.
The point is, it’s an invasion of the privacy you should be entitled to expect on a public forum. We all use pseudonyms for a reason. Fatty was stupid enough not to, but that was his choice.
