Adebayor : Daniel Levy made eveything complicated at Tottenham. Having lost his place in Mauricio Pochettino’s team, Adebayor wanted a loan move to West Ham United in January of last year only to see Levy block it at the last moment. There is no love lost between Tottenham and West Ham. Then, in the summer, when Adebayor was again linked to West Ham, he demanded that Levy pay up the final year on his contract – a sum of £5m – to allow him to join them as a free agent. Levy refused. They finally reached a settlement to cancel his contract on 13 September, meaning that Adebayor, who had trained away from the first-team group since the summer, would have to wait until the January transfer window to join a new club. He has signed a deal at Palace, initially until the end of the season, and they are paying him £65,000-a-week. Only according to a rich up his own arse man, you know, them snobby types. So would you rather watch Gent v Wolfsburg in the mighty CL? Or Dynamo Kiev who have been on a winter break for 2 months v City, who have virtually done a Barca and wrapped the tie up in the 1st leg. You know you wouldn't. It's all relative. It's definitely less of a write off and less predictable than the Barca v Arsenal tie. Certainly more football being played than in the upcoming Pool v Yawnited bore fest. You know for the neutral who knows his football. Spurs v Dortmund is going to be the standout tie.
