The Essex side - the lowest-ranked team left in the competition - frustrated last year's semi-finalists throughout the 90 minutes and won a dramatic shootout after Christian Eriksen and Lucas Moura missed from the spot. (BBC Football Live) I am not going to hide from the shame of this. Poch, our wonderful leader, was brave in giving our youngsters a chance, but they let him down. I still trust in Poch. He'll find a way to turn this around and make us formidable again. Trust me.
It was probably the time they "pushed" City and finished 3rd in a two horse race, or maybe last season when they finished 4th in a three horse race
It’s refreshing for Poch to come out and confirm what the intelligent among us already knew - that there is division and uncertainty in the squad, and it is affecting performances. It is clear that players like Eriksen, Rose and Dier don’t want to be at the club, and the sooner we can move them on the better for everyone. Poch spoke of the “energy” of togetherness, and you can see clearly how frustrated he is about this being lacking. I take comfort from the fact that he is being realistic and prepared to wait for things to settle back down to a rhythm. We Spurs fans need to be patient and keep believing that we will be great again, soon.
So basically admitting that the current team have peaked and will begin to break up. I love the way you cried when I told you this and here you are advocating it yourself
He’s not admitting anything of the sort. He is being extremely practical in pointing to the fact that the squad is in a state of transition, and that he is prepared to wait for the squad to get settled again. The allegation currently levelled against him is that he is no longer interested, but his comments show that it’s more a case of the fact that he knows he has players in his squad who want out, and that he cannot build the necessary squad spirit whilst he is forced to utilise such players.
