The "Mighty Juggernaut" thread

Discussion in 'The Premier League' started by Hoddle is a god, Jul 19, 2015.

  1. "Rooney played in a deep-lying midfield role in the 2-0 win against Malta, a position in which Tottenham's Eric Dier, who will be there against Slovenia, is better. He has been overtaken as the best 'number 10' by Spurs' Dele Alli, while Harry Kane, also of Tottenham, will be ahead as strikers when fit."

I think it's probably now safe to say that, without Spurs, England wouldn't be where they are today.

I agree with that mate. Look at the state of English football, two major tournaments completely bottled. Same as Spurs every season.

Bottlers at club and international level, thanks to Spurs.

I almost forgot to add, a litany of failed managers over the last 20 years too. Striking similarities :)

He does. He's already stated above that Spurs are responsible for the state of the England team.

Hendo has to captain (keep an eye on) the worst England first 11 in our generation.

  7. I note a blank space appeared within seconds of my posting.

Am I correct in saying that it was Pixie?

Well! What a surprise! It's as though he was sat at his computer (naked, probably), just waiting for me to write something that he could stalk!

    Unbelievable!

No need for the meltdown fella, I was agreeing with you.

Worst England team in a generation littered with Spurs players. You're right that England wouldn't be where they are if it wasn't for Spurs.

Well, it might help if a few more Prem clubs actually had some English players!

I don't want all our players wasting their time and talent playing for a clueless old ****er, like Woy.

Southgate hasn't exactly made an auspicious start, either.

It's nothing to do with the players available, though Wenger ruining Walcott, Oxo-cube, Gibbs, Wilshere and Chambers hasn't helped.
Crap managers, a lack of coaches and some teams having utterly ****e academies are all damaging the English national side.
They should still be better than most teams around and capable of beating Iceland and Malta comfortably.

  12. Spurs-England will play a far lot better without Rooney.

Now, we (Spurs) will be able to show what we can really do for English football.

  13. Just been catching up with the media stuff, and I note that Poch is saying that it's too early to be talking about the title.

    Good man.

He's leaving that kind of talk until later in the season.

Oops Chelsea, indeed. Sacked your legend as your dressing room imploded and your players all couldn't be arsed for 90% of the season! <laugh>
