Bacon Face got him to put his plans for retirement on hold, six months after he retired. So that makes two managers, but the lack of people calling for the latter is getting suspicious - as if he's threatened to have their press passes to Old Trafford revoked if they dare link him to the job...
Manipulation by Moyes when Harry does take the job leaving a vacancy at a club with money and going places? But, without sounding cynical, this is the reaction all managers and players should have. One shouldn't give their opinion on this matter because it is disrespectful to the manager and their team. Imagine (say) Wayne Rooney left Man Utd and it was obvious the best person to fill that role was (say) Lionel Messi. The large proportion of players, managers and journalists all saying how Messi would be perfect for Utd and that Utd were set to contact Barcelona about an offer for him. Barcelona would be furious and quite right to. The attitude by the media, players and managers regarding this situation is disgraceful and disrespectful.
The Sun (and Sky Sports News) have been instrumental in unsettling players for the benefit of certain clubs from Manchester who like their squad to be United for so long, it's clearly just habit to do this. The only person who benefits from it is Andre Villas-Boas, as it reduces the number of articles reminding everyone how fired he'll be if they crash out the CL to Napoli...
I think that Moyes' comment was actually a very sensible way of avoiding the follow up question. If he'd have said that Redknapp was right for the England job, then the obvious thing to ask would be if he fancied replacing him at WHL.
