Do you know, I thought we had when Harry signed. I should have known better, having watched Spurs since the 60's

Still by our standards I suppose a couple of seasons IS stability. It must be really boring being a Man U fan as you can see by Luke spending all his time with us. <laugh>

Moyes seems to always have a strong run in the 2nd half of a season while we trip on our bootlaces and struggle.....hmmmmm.

I'd like to see what he could do with a decent budget and some solid pro's, sans primadonas.

Yes Luke, we all KNOW that. What we're saying here is that we don't need Harry boy adding fuel to the fire when, as our current manager, he should be damping it down.

  4. Our players need stability, and that will only come when Redknap is gone. Levy can't get rid of him now, because then he'd miss out on the FA's compensation. How much it will cost us by holding on to Redknap, only time will tell.

I think Bale would be more settled under Moyes. I'm not so sure about Modric. Personally, I am resigned to losing Modric, whether or not we get CL, as I don't think we're going to be able to match the kind of money that he's been promised by Chelsea. The only real question is, will the mad Russian stump up the money that Levy will insist he pays us? Probably. Given his recent performances, I'm not at all bothered if Modric stays or leaves. Bale, even though his performances haven't been the best recently, is a far more important player for us, I feel. and his leaving would be the bigger blow.

I would be not sure if he will be given any real budget to compete for a top 4 place.
Levy has spent nothing recently , why change. The old lines of no champs league money,
so no major signings will appear over the summer.
We had our chance of a saying we were part of the big boys club , but Levy sat on the fence.
Low fees, low wages equals average players, or ready to move on in a few years as we never
win anything, without major investment. Sadly we blew it.

I have to say that Modric has not been able to take games by the scruff of the neck and make a difference in recent weeks. He has tried and I rate him highly but I feel he should be a bigger presence on the pitch than he is.

Maybe we have to take into account the big spending stadium plans he has in place. I've no doubt Levy is squireling money away for this. It's possible of course that selling Modric could finance a new manager rebuilding job and Harry's latest remarks are part of a plan to set the ball rolling.

Do that Harry before you go! It's possible!

A couple of posters on here have noticed his performances have dipped since we started playing him with Parker and Sandro in midfield, instead of in a two-man midfield alongside Palacios/Huddlestone/Sandro/Parker where he was more effective.

Modric has been cramped recently, in my opinion.
The two holding players push him forward, while Bale and van der Vaart provisionally starting on the wings, yet actually playing quite centrally, reduce his space even further.
He has no out ball to wide areas and there's not enough support to the striker, so he finds it harder to find a through ball, as the marking's tight and there are defenders to spare.

Something similar happened when VDV joined, it took sometime for Modric (or Harry) to adjust to new possibilities. A flaw perhaps in Modric? maybe not assertive enough. Compare that to Parker who looked the part from the off.

That sounds more or less right - how can be dissect the opponents with a pass when all the options are in the same area of the pitch?

In regards to players Moyes might 'bring with him', Fellaini looks good (though admittedly not an area that needs strengthening) and possibly Leighton Baines (still not entirely convinced by BAE - plus Baines is a great set piece taker), and as mentioned, Nikica Jelavic is looking good.

Barklay and Rodwell could be useful additions, too.

seems like it PNP..in which case he can fuk off..hes grating on me...ive seen it ll..gobbing off..instead of dampening tramsfer speculation saying things like..'your head would be turned if your offered so much money' when he could make the player look daft and say 'why would they want to move if they are part of a project unless they fancy sitting on a bench and collecting wages like a mercenary'...id respect him if he said that however he cant as he is cut from the same cloth as them.

Harry will never change. It's all about Harry, always has been. Nobody passes the buck, or gets his excuses in first, like Harry.
