Off Topic The Masters

Don't write off Tiger. If he's still improving at the speed he has since his comeback he'll be there or there about. He's been superb since his comeback.

Justin Rose was 16/1 two weeks ago to win the green jacket. That's great odds.

Tiger or Rose to win for me.

More chance of Soton staying up mate.

It’s one of the very few golf tournaments that I’ll sit and watch (despite playing myself) and it’s the one I enjoy the most. Love the course and watching it bite even the very best on the arse.

What do you play off mate, are you a member of a club?
Up until about three years ago, I used to play at least twice a week and played off 7. When my mum was diagnosed with dementia, I stopped playing so I could spend a bit more time with her. I let my social membership go this year, as I just don't get to the club anymore.

I used to play off 12 when I was 16 and played 2/3 times a week. As the years rolled on and life took over I was lucky to play 3 times a year lol. I struggle to play off around 22 these days and I’m not a member anywhere at the minute, and my knee is now also ****ed, so I can’t play anyway. <doh>

Not sure where I sit on this. Common sense tells me he's no chance but he played amazingly well two weeks ago.
Wasn't driving it that well but everything else seemed to be in place.

Still don't think he'll win though. If McIlroy is on it he'll walk it I reckon.

Not sure mate. He's looked very good this year. Consistency is the key for Woods. Not to mention that others will be looking over their shoulder and feeling the pressure if he's closing in on them.

Probably 6 months to soon for him though.

Agree fully.

I think the Masters is wide open this year tbh. Anyone of 5-10 players have a good chance of winning the green jacket.

I can't wait for it to start.

His club speed 2 weeks ago was 2nd fastest.

Went someway to assuaging fears about his back surgery and his fitness.

So yes, he's fit, and he knows this course inside out.

But his odds are ridiculous, just because its him.

I'd love him to win it. It puts Nicklaus's record back on the table.

Just don't see it though.

My money's elsewhere.

My mate won about 400 last year betting on Sergio .

Every time I’ve ever bet on golf they fail miserably.

A bit like me with the Grand National then. Every time I bet on a horse, the ****ers kept getting shot :headbang:
