Well at least he was wanted by Spurs too....................shows what a talent the lad is. Sign him up and then get Navas tied into the De Gea deal (he has to be better than Romero) - and we're done for this window..............
I wouldn't be surprised if business was over now. I wouldn't mind De Gea going after all the soap opera. However we don't have a good replacement yet. So it is likely he'll stay and with the window closed, he can focus on playing for United. Austin may come as a bench warming striker. Not that crucial now.
I'm waiting until close of business tomorrow so I can officially call Woody and that dutch quiff a pair of ****s
So... ummmm... who exactly... and I'm just spit-balling here... but who exactly was messing who about in this De Gea transfer??? Just so we're clear as to what the fck the point was in leaving it to the last day and having no decent goalie in place??? Anyone want clear that one up?
From Wiki - Navas was the first-choice goalkeeper for Levante in the 2013–14 season, and was nominated as the league's best goalkeeper alongside Thibaut Courtois of Atlético Madrid and Willy Caballero of Málaga CF,[10] going on to win the prize.[11] In March 2014, he was La Liga Player of the Month, the first goalkeeper to win the accolade.[12] On 3 August 2014, Real Madrid triggered Navas' €10 million buyout clause, and he signed a six-year contract with the club.[
I remember him from a couple of seasons ago. Surprisingly good at reading the striker's movement and shots and pulling off some high quality saves. He's a very good keeper tbf but not in De Gea's league imo.
