I watched a replay of a game played by the 2008 United recently. That was a good team. And the reality is that that team was the peak of United in recent times. Since then, our defence, midfield and attack have all gone downhill. Yes, we kept winning the premierships. Ronaldo was never replaced, vidic and rio were getting older, giggs and scholes were holding at a ripe age the midfield together, fletcher was younger and healthy, Tevez was also at his peak. Which player of the 2013/14 can you truthfully say was the equivalent or better of the 2008 version? Rvp may be better than Tevez and he was the difference when we last won the prem. The reality is that ferguson was making do with a deteriorating squad. And he did brilliantly. When he left, the glue that was holding the team and the catalyst which got the players playing beyond their ability, disappeared. This squad of players is not of true United standard . The greedy Gs were not releasing the funds or fergie was voluntarily increasing their profits...
Matth, do any of these comments ring a bell? These tinpot clubs like Southampton use to know their place. Southampton - Hypocrites Southampton f**king bull****ting
You seem very angry at Woodward on Twitter Matth. It's a little early to be concerned about lack of signings to be honest.
He's not moaning already surely?!?! It's first week of June and most players are on w.c duty!! Other than Liverpool buying a reserve forward, who else has signed anyone of note anywhere in Europe?
EPL Transfer Rumours: Robben And Schweinsteiger Go To United As Rooney Joins Chelsea http://www.12sportsnews.com/footbal...n-schweinsteiger-united-rooney-joins-chelsea/
So long as they don't try to fob us off with Diego Costa as part of the deal I would take all of that! Not that any of it's true as it's just the usual made up speculation bollocks. Also, Robben's value soars as the world cup goes on.
To be honest, I think you would have more chance of getting Robben than you would of getting Schweinsteiger. Schweiny is Bayern through and through and a club hero and legend, he will end his career there imo. Robben is a tad more mercenary, but still, I think he has found his niche at Bayern. We dont want Rooney now!
They're both excellent, would love them at United. I'd still keep Rooney but its fairly clear who will be number 9 under van Gaal and Rooney doesn't perform when he's not No.1 focal point of the attack. Well, apart from a couple of years alongside Ronaldo but whether he'd cede top spot to RVP is questionable. Could be time to sell, if there's a buying willing to take on his wages AND pay the fee for a bloke with five years left on his contract. In other words, very much doubt he'll go.
Apparently we've agreed a fee for him - http://www.givemesport.com/480698-manchester-united-set-to-sign-stefan-de-vrij?autoplay=on
So have you signed him or is this a rumour? If it's a rumour you may as well fll up the front page of threads with all the rumours floating about. OR use the transfer thread
Sky. Have you ever shouted at a dead mouse? Thats what you are doing just now. Better to just go with it.
So Givemesport.com reports that Talksport reports that some shady Italian newspaper reports that there are rumours that a deal has been struck over Stefan de Vrij between Feyenoord and ManU. please log in to view this image
