He hasnt but seems he will.

Seems he didnt actually want to play in the WC next year.

Also if he goes........ there will be some very unhappy players at Bayern as Pep will of assured him game time. Martinez will be ****ed off to defence and he turned Barcelona down just last summer due to Barcelona planning on using him in defence.

If Thiago does go to Bayern, maybe a cheeky Bid for Martinez, or even Schweinstinger (lol). Just send Fergie to tap one of them up.

We probably won't get anyone <grr>

Martinez might be upset if Pep wants to push him back to CB, and apparently that was a reason Martinez didn't want join Barca.

If we weren't in for Thiago for £15.5m then there's no ****ing hope for us. If we are, why wasn't this done 2 weeks ago before Bayern started sniffing?

Thiago was apparently on vacation, so he couldn't agree to personal terms. Now Bayern got involved and it could get a bit messy.

Everything I've read about Bayern is just about Pep being openly interested in signing Thiago, nothing of an actual offer.

    We are still hopeful.

Bact is our offer is better than Bayerns. Bayern cant promise anything without upsetting several players which in turn will upset the fan and cause issues.

I'm no longer hopeful though. Our hopes remain with Agent De Gea. Come on Dave you beast!

When the choice boils down to Thiago, it's wether he wants to play a lot and give himself a chance at making the WC team. Or sit on the bench and hang out with Pep, then watch the WC together on TV.

Thats it, the fact hes not signed for Bayern when yesterday it was all but done is the faintest of lights at the end of the tunnel.

Its a choice between become a superstar or make an arse shaped dent into a bench. Thats ass to you btw <laugh>

I think it's fair to say at this point that no one has the slightest clue where he's going. The rumours about him signing for Bayern today or tomorrow or imminently are the same rumours that were being banded around about us last week. Ultimately, until he actually signs on the line for someone it's all just guesswork.

I won't believe anything until RHC's reporter mate confirms it <ok>

He wants and always wanted to stay at Barcelona and if he gets his request granted for plenty of first team action he ain't going anywhere.

btw UIR, playing outside Spain lessens your chances of playing for the national side. It's always been that way. First team football with Barca will give him infinitely more chance of playing for Spain in the WC than playing for United.

True, but whose going to get dropped to the bench to make that happen? Xavi? Iniesta? He has the best midfield combination in the world ahead of him. He'll spend another few years waiting to break through.

Similar thing happened when Piqué left for Barca. He wanted to play first team football and knew he wasn't going to push Vidic or Rio out of the starting spot as they were they best CB pairing in the world at that point in time.

Rumor was Strootman was signing for Roma, in that case bring in De Rossi and Michael Bradley from Roma.

Typical ultra-nationalist American eh Manobear, no offence. But he will do in case we're not signing anyone. Let's have an American.

    Totally true!

He'd be a great squad player, but he's arguably the best player in CONCACAF at the moment. He's pretty versatile in midfield too, he can play the destroyer role, but he's most effective as a box-box, as long as he knows his partner will cover him when he carries the ball forward. He's also got a great shot from outside the box, and has scored some pretty nifty goals that even Scholes would have been proud of.

His nickname at Chievo, and it may have stuck when he was sold to Roma was Il Generale, or whatever the General in Italian. He'd be a Chicharitoesque signing. A little under the radar, with a big potential in marketing, but the ability to be good enough for the top level.

Shouldn't be our only midfield signing, but we've lost Scholes, possibly Fletcher, and hopefully Anderson. So that would leave us with just Cleverly and Carrick as CMs with experience. You could include Giggs and Kagawa, but they're not the solution to our midfield problems.

    Oh and 'Merica.

MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly reached an agreement over a deal for Benfica's Ezequiel Garay.

The 26-year-old has been high on United's wish list for a while and he was recently reported to be house hunting in Manchester.

Moreover, it was thought that United had a 'gentlemen's agreement' in place with the Portuguese outfit to sign him.

And according to reports United have struck a deal for £17.2m.

United are in need of another defender, especially with Nemanja Vidic missing United's pre-season tour through injury.
