“For example, maybe one successful season in the Championship is more important than my old titles in Russia and 50 matches in the Champions League because inside experience is vital. I understand and I’m ready to play by the English rules.”

Interesting quote from the Telegraph piece...

Gotta say, when I first heard he was linked with us, I wasnt too keen on the idea of having him as manager. But after reading the few interviews with him and hearing what he's currently doing in order to get his first job in England, Id happily have him as our manager.

Monk would be the safer option and I think if he wants the job id give it to him, but if not Slutsky would be an excellent choice.

I don't know too much about him , but probably better then one of the same old names that get thrown around all the time - silva was something different that nearly worked so see how it goes If it happens, I remember Joyce was 1/6 on hours before barmby got named

Article says a lot, confirms he's met with the Allams and is keen on the job.

After hitting lucky with Bruce then Silva, I assumed our inept owners won't get lucky a third time.

No one wants to work for them.

We won't have a new manager in place until the week before the season kicks off.

There's no money for new players.

They're just pocketing all the cash.

Etc.

I posed the question earlier in the thread .. having never heard of Slutsky prior to him appearing in the betting anyone have any idea if what type of football styles he likes .. does he employ the Brucie theory of strong at the back or is he more of a Silva type and look to play attacking football .. a combination of both would be perfect however I have no idea tbh what to expect if he is put in place
