he seems delighted to be here and not just a stop gap while something bigger comes along

He was never the genius many thought.
I'd have kept him for his enthusiasm and effort but always said people elevated him behind his station.

He may be the real deal in a year or so, but he may be gone by Christmas.

I am optimistic but if you parallel with the England team it is sometimes just the **** you have to work with!
 
Slutsky comes across well

However I've no idea, and non of us does, whether we will do well on the pitch with him as our manager

Clearly we need to build a team again, either by keeping a core and adding, or by a complete clearout and replace

Until we know what team we will have no idea at all whether we have a chance of being competitive

...which is just how it is

(There's a sliver of good news with the club using the previously forbidden phrase 'Hull City' but we don't know whether that's a policy change or someone's accident...TWT)
 
just followed a link suggesting we buy diame because he's going to lose his place when newcastle buy cairney!!!

the page had this video clip of a diame goal from february and i still can't work out wtf happened.

I think most will agree with your thoughts regarding the actual football but many are genuinely pleased and perhaps surprised how this hitherto locally relatively unknown commodity comes across.

And bizarrely I find myself bemoaning the fact the cost of something going down in price. My 'membership' has gone from £35 pm to £21. Ridiculous!! Ehab, you could give me a bottle of whisky and a couple of prossies prematch, but still wouldn't work. Just ****ing go..
Seems the predicted firesale is in full force. Surely he's got his £100m now?

Yeah it's the first time I've been pissed off getting a price cut
Opened my letter telling me it had gone down from £35 to £21 and, without even thinking, mumbled profanities (mainly '****s') and moaned about a lack of concessions and chucked it straight away.

I do think a sale is more likely in the Chumps, but we'll see. ****ing hope so

I don't buy that
They will have known some are going so they can buy some, not all by any stretch, on that basis
It's not as black and white as you suggest I dont think, even though I accept that you can't replace everyone before others have gone

Firesale? Jesus drama queen it's just the reality of being relegated and having players that are much better then the champ, getting 17m for maguire in the last year of his contract is good business. So far this pre season the Allams have done what they said they would do, get a gaffer in asap which they have, and they said some players would go and they have!

How many have sunland and boro bought? I dunno I'm just asking den. What about other championship clubs?
