It does seem just a bit pointless at this point in the world history. You'd have to wonder why there's not more guys marching about with wwii banners than orange sashes given its very ancient histroy to all but some tossers

Had a look on Youtube, there's loads of vids on there. Had to laugh at one of the comments - ''loads of ugly birds there .... but looks like a good day out'' <laugh>

did you see the Southend lodges making their annual stoppage outside the Liffey pub, they reckon it's full of IRA men so give it special drum banging treatment ever year.<laugh>

Considering the IRA disbanded as part of the NI peace process their whole existence relies on something that no longer itself exists.

There's been slaves as long as there's been human civilisation. In fact, most slaves originating from west Africa around the 17th-19th centuries (caught and sold by other African tribes, btw) ended up as slaves in North Africa and Arabia, not in the Americas, as is the popular myth.

As for Magna Carta - it was a contract (rapidly annulled by the then Pope, btw) between nobles and the king. Had a peasant demanded those rights from a noble they'd have been summarily executed.
