This morning, I find myself in something of a dilemma. On the one hand, I find it nigh on near impossible to say anything complimentary about the Mousers and their team. But, on the other, 'Pool has removed the Chavs from any chance of top 4, nor can they finish above us. St Junior Fulham's Day is upon us! Should I be thankful, I wonder? Nah, **** 'em! Business as usual, I say
I can see a few Liverpool signatures incorporating this one: please log in to view this image Probably not this attempt at assault, though: please log in to view this image Worst tackle of the season? There were some disgusting displays of thuggery from Ivanovic and Suarez, too.
Considering how bad their seasons went, the match was win-win for us. Two of the darling Sky 4 guaranteed finish outside their god-given places? Luverly! Wanted Chavs to win because it would have been funnier, but the result may make it more likely that Queen Kenny gets another season and that won't do the pool any good at all! As for Chelski, they've put all the money on black (or red), or some lottery number. Very sad there season has come to this. Well not really. What would be more sad would be after their disastrous league season, if they won that cup their season would be regarded as success (by many). It seems nothing is more important these days than the CL... and its like the Premier League is nothing more than a selection contest to get into it. Shame that. Anyway, both these clubs have bigger grounds and higher salary expenses than us, so I very much enjoy our current dominance over them! Oh, and I understand Suarez should have gone, is that right?
I thought that Ivanovic should have been sent off for the elbow but Essiens assault is appalling. I was 'lucky' enough to be on the receiving end of a very similar tackle a few years ago which broke both Tibia and fibula. Seeing this video sends shives down my spine!!
Ivanovic elbowed Carroll in the chest, so Carroll naturally went down holding his face. Suarez decided to get some revenge by having a sneaky dig from behind on the Serb. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/09052012/58/premier-league-video-suarez-deserve-red-card.html
Worse was Ivanovic holding his face when Suarez shoved his forearm across him, he even looked up past his hand to see if the ref was going to fall for it....what a tart.
Thanks for the link. What a mess. Looks like a couple of "opportunities" for red cards, it being a complete lottery whether you get one or not. All about consistency though isn't it? For some of the incidents on some grounds for some players for some teams it's red (sometimes), and sometimes it's not. While such inconsistency exists it's much more likely that certain teams will benefit from it compared to others. Also never bought into this 'not being able to take action because the ref saw it' thingy. That is no more than an excuse not to intervene and nothing to do with getting the right outcome. The authorities say they can't if the ref took action but it's their rule, so change the rule! There have also been a couple of occasions where they did. No consistency there either.
The other good thing about the game is John "give us a hug Muamba" Terry probably played himself out of the reckoning for the Euros. Couldn't happen to a nicer fella.
I thought at the time it should've been a red for Suarez, haven't seen Ivanovic's. However given Ivanovic's tendencies to kick, stamp, punch and elbow other players I felt no sympathy for him, especially after the supposed hardman went to the deck clutching his face and refused to shake Suarez's hand after. Anyone else remember Sammon's red against United for Wigan? That was Dowd as well which goes to show that if the ref wants to send people off they will, other times you couldn't get sent off if you tried, as Suarez and Essien clearly did.
I still can't believe the Essien one, watching it again. It's just everything that can be wrong in a foul. It's two-footed, it's high, it's miles away from the ball, it's from behind... astounding that he stayed on the pitch. He could've got about 3 reds for that!

Mouser watch?? Only a total knob would come up with such a poor attempt at winding up Liverpool fans. Kenny is an angel compared to Glen Hoddle or twitchyfatface. Glen likes to slag off disabled kids and twitchyfatface skims profits and makes clubs go bust. Mouser watch
I really hope you finish fourth and Chelsea win CL. You can watch this 'mouser' laugh like **** then.
