Yes I was particularly disappointed when little old QPR turned you over earlier in the season. We all know how well JT took that defeat as well.

Yeah well done, you won your 'cup final' - (only just against 9 men!!) Difference between our clubs though is that our 'cup finals' are actual cup finals!!

    HIAG can take it.

He spent most the season camped out on our board giving it large so I'm sure he is man enough to have a little back.

He's not wasted at all that's just the usual standard on the Spurs board. HIAG is one of our keener pupils of the fine art. <ok>

I suppose that was our fault you had two sent off
I congratulate you on your success but I remember the days when we we looked down the league at you. Before your Billionaire turned up.

Before the Billionnaire turned up we had won domestic and European trophies and qualified twice for the C.L.

...and were also in massive amounts of debt, to the point you were using plastic cutlery in the club canteen to try and save every penny.

Leeds' debts weren't as big as Chelsea's, the difference is that Leeds tried to reduce their debt with player sales, Chelsea didn't - and got lucky when Roman decided to invest.

No mate (although that useless twat Wright-phillips took a dive) but I'm sure you saw what happened when you had to play against the full quota? plus you'll no doubt realise that if your MANY billionaires hadn't turned up you'd still be in league1

    HIAG - brilliant post.

I was also pondering what would happen there. Will in fact RA realise that he's taken Chelski as far as they can go without a serious amount of additional investment (yes him, since I don't think anyone could claim it would have happened without his money), but for what purpose? He's now won the CL so where is there to go from here? We are not seeing a dynasty emerging, we are only seeing players free bus passes get a year closer. I think there's almost as much chance of him pulling the plug as dumping a vast amount of extra money in Chelski. OK with these ultra-rich it might be a case of who can spend the most on a team, but he's seen how much has been pumped into Citeh and will he think he can (wants to?) compete with that?

We were out of league 1 when ours turned up. As for the dive despite the moaning from most Chelsea fans virtually everyone else agreed with the decisions that day. SWP should take a leaf out of Didiers book eh?

All true but irrelevant to the fact that was implied by the QPR fan. It's been a long time since they looked down on us, Roman or otherwise.

I wouldn't call SWP a diver either but that sending off was a joke. Not a dive just a silly decision by the ref. But hey we got a soft pen in the fa cup so these things happen. Be another interesting couple of tussles next year to - glad you stayed up.

Chelsea were indeed lucky when Abramovich decided to invest - as were QPR with their billionaire owners, Man City with theirs and Spurs with Joe Lewis (who has been funding Spurs long before any of the others)

Prior to Abramovich, Chelsea were overspending via the money of the late Matthew Harding.
Ken Bates nearly managed to run the club into the ground after the real Chelsea supporter's unfortunate death.
Before this investment Chelsea were on a par with West Ham.

How has Lewis funded Spurs, by the way?
The club seems to post a profit pretty regularly.
Could any of the other clubs say that or do they all make massive losses, due to gross overspending?
