Reports coming in that Paul Parker has suffered a temporary mental illness ......... http://www.skysports.com/football/n...s-van-gaal-with-tim-sherwood-says-paul-parker
I was chuckling away until I got to this bit. And United need to start thinking about the long term as soon as possible, because if not they face the ultimate danger: turning into the new Liverpool."
Mediocre or unproven managers who have been able to outsmart Van Gaal over the last year or so... Gus Poyet Karl Robinson Gary Monk (x3) Nigel Pearson Alan Irvine Paul Lambert Richard Money Sam Allardyce Steve McLaren Phillip Cocu (x2) Leonid Viktorovich Slutsky Aitor Karanka Slaven Bilic Dieter Hecking Eddie Howe Alex Neil Nigel Adkins Steve McLaren added twice Sam Allardyce added twice Jess Thorup Other than 1 or 2 possible exceptions, many also believe that the above names would probably get more out of Man United than LVG.
The chavs are jumping up and down after a 2-1 defeat. They think they are through already but the likelihood is that they will go out as PSG will score at least one goal and the chavs will need to score at least 2 more goals than them.
TBH I feel sorry for @CFC: Champions of FFP . He's not spoken to on his own board, his club are a fckin shambles, the worst title defence in modern history, and he has to trawl other boards to have ppl talk to him. I can choose to ignore him, but I fear if I don't throw him a bone every now and again, he might succumb to his depression and do something drastic.
I'd talk to him on their board but my 2 week ban seems to have turned into a lifetime ban. I think I drove a few of them close to the edge! The odd thing is he never posts on the City board!
There are a lot of City fans that don't post on the City board. Only difference is they don't post on the forum at all, whereas their latest convert seems to post on their rival's board. Strange.
I wonder what the chances are of waking up tomorrow morning and finding out an emergency meeting is being held with Van Gaal and he's been sacked.
I cannot think of any good reason for waiting to sack him. A new manager even an interim one will be a boost .
I think the next three matches will decide his fate - Shrewsbury will have their heads up and will definitely fancy their chances of an upset/replay at OT - Failure to overcome the mighty Jitterypeeps at OT will decide our CL prospects for 2016/17, and then of course we have the mighty Gooners,PL Champions elect. If any, or all, of these results go the wrong way then surely he must be out.
Seriously? You mean the last 3 games or even the last 3 months havent been enough to decide his fate... yet for some reason the next 3 games suddenly will be? He should be gone now.
The guy is absolutely stealing a living. The worst manager in the premier league bar none. Just think about that. Bar none.
The owners are embarrassing themselves by standing by him. It's clear that the players have lost all belief in him and things will only continue to get worse.
There is a reasonable presumption that his contract specifies that we qualify for the CL - a loss to Jitteryland all but confirms that we cannot qualify, and a loss to Arsenal will make it mathematically improbable. A loss to Shrewsbury will see us lose out on our last chance of domestic silverware.....................so by that measure I do see the next 3 games as critical, as distinct from all the other crap games we have played this season. These three games have direct ramifications for the club in 2016/17.
