I know it goes with the territory. I know he has to say what he has to say... but there's a bit of an oil slick around Kinnear. Until yesterday Nketiah was signing for Bristol City, but it sounds like it was all part of a master plan to replace roofe with better. So a guy the manager says would have scored 30 goals last season if fit, and a guy he thinks is the best defender in the league... were moved on for better players as part of a master plan.
They maybe up for it, but are they good enough. I'm not bothered really. I think we've the quality to beat them..

e Most interesting article. Thanks for the link. Two particular Kinnear statements caught my attention: 1. “For a variety of reasons we’ve sold two first team players in Kemar and Pontus,”. Variety of reasons. So not just FFP, then? Wonder what the other reasons were. 2. “Kalvin has been fantastically loyal because he’s obviously had his head turned by financial offers from other clubs but he’s remained committed and wants to play in the Premier League with Leeds United,” So Kinnear is acknowledging that KP was illegally approached. Seems to be ok by him, doesn't it? Shouldn't. Why no reporting of whoever made these offers without the club's permission to speak with KP? Or perhaps someone did give them permission? A decent journo might have picked these up & pursued the statements. Journos used to be feared in the same way that Packman was at Newsnight, mainly because they were alert to every opportunity & did their jobs thoroughly. Now they're just quote merchants, fairy story tellers, & plagiarists. Either that or they're scared that they'd lose their favoured access.

Played 2 pre season games against top European teams, got 2 MOM awards and scored the winner v Bayern Munich. Can see him scoring 6 against millwall if you play all 3 keepers together.
