No, I think the point they’re making in is if we are close to having one of the richest owners we wouldn’t have needed to sell him.
Maybe he wanted to go though. The chance, however slim to play with a top four pl team would have far more appeal than a promotion push and on ten times the wage
Maybe we just wanted to make a good deal, get paid a few bucks and keep the player for a year. Isn't it a no brainer of having your cake and eating it too. If we don't make it this season then he would have gone anyway, if he is actually any good.
I have just read this: "Pontus' wife is ill in Sweden. He is training with Malmo and has club permission to stay there until mid July. Nothing else to it and Phillips is staying, part of Bielsa's conditions for staying."
Morning Eric. Mujica and 2 other young lads for the academy, one from Barca and the other turning down Man U to join - not a bad day's work I think. I love the way we are buying raw material for the next few years to provide a conveyor belt of first team talent and/or cash going forward. Imagine getting 10m for Jack Clarke and then getting him back for the promotion push too, great work by all concerned. Changed days at Leeds, careful prudent management and a vision for the future well-being of the club.
Evening Davy as you point out the skill is getting the balance right, it's certainly not doom and gloom.
