Quality is all i wanted and costa is in this league.if roberts had scored some goals last season we would have gone up autos. Doubt we will sign another striker but a decent midfielder would be nice.
Which encourages me on Phillips and Jannson - there would be no point going to the trouble of signing players he wanted and then getting rid of players he doesn't - espcially as they know his track record of walking - so if either of them do go then he's obviosuly agreed to it and we have suitable replacements lined up or they're not going.
The Costa £15m fee is a bit dubious because I bet the £2m loan fee becomes deductable so the actual fee will be £13m which is what they paid for him. Even then I expect some of that to be add ons. Its also double the fee we paid for Bamford Seems the Blunts are involved in dark deeds and Pontus and why Pontus told to stay away. Seems the Blunts want Pontus? Agreed Mike and as we know he likes to play the rotating CB system playing 3 Cbs which Bielsa said he had tried and could never make it work. He said he admired the thinking behind it. Problem we have now is that we only have 3 CBs in the club now
It would be staggering to sell Pontus without a plan to replace. We played the whole of last season utilising centre back fill ins due to injury and we know that bielsa seemed happy to play midfielders there and have fewer centre backs at the club than most fans wanted. If he’s committed to that then so be it, but White is unproven at this level and it would seem a hell of a risk for him to be the Pontus replacement.

I'm not confident Pontus will be with us next season, the Swedish press are saying Leeds want to sell him to balance the books and I agree totally with you, it makes no sense signing someone for end of season big money and allowing Pontus to go if Bielsa wishes to keep him. I think Pontus can go and it has nothing to do with needing the money, something has gone down with him and Bielsa Berardi started the season at CB and I am hoping Bielsa doesn't see Berardi as first or even second choice, he has been great for the club but we need better and letting the young CB's like Halme leave is even more of a mystery if indeed Pontus is on the way out
