How much of a gamble are Leeds taking if they do not strengthen their squad in January?

How many times did I rattle on in the summer that we required a 25 a season goalscorer?

I sounded like a broken record

Even though Marcelo has put a couple of names forward I doubt we'll sign them as Orta has already quoted we won't be engaging in a lot of tranfer activity.....Strikers cost money so very doubtful indeed

Your first ever Leeds game.......when was your first ever Leeds game?

    Leeds v Grimsby Town - 1963/64

    How old were you?

    9yo

    Did the Whites win?

Yes 3-0, Billy scored & he became an instant boyhood hero

Were you hooked from that moment?

I would say so, 56 years later I'm still following Leeds home & away

Have you ever had to sit with opposition fans to get in to an away match?

    Twice

    White Hart Lane

    KC Stadium

    Were you found out?

    No

I got found out in the Kop at Anfield.

It was the League Cup three or 4 years back. In the first minute of the second half Roofe almost scored and I jumped to my feet without thinking.

Fortunately so did hundreds of other Leeds fans who were also in the wrong end of the Stadium.

The one when Roofe curled a shot against the inside of a post, I thought it was in as soon as he hit it from the edge of the box at the Leeds end.

Losing Cooper at half-time was a blow as Ayling replaced him in the CB role, first time Luke had played in that position for Leeds, he's still not a convincing CB imo!

Exactly. I thought it was in, and hundreds of Leeds fans, me included leapt in the air. The stewards just looked at us, but as we outnumbered them, they left us alone.

    Evening all...

    Happy Birthday @ellandback

First Leeds game was away to Ipswich Town we lost 2-1 and if I remember right we had taken the lead through Barnes, I think it was 1981

My mates dad was an Ipswich supporter who took me so I was in the home (Ipswich) end right behind the goal.

When was your first ever Leeds game?
Don’t remember it! .. my dad took me to a bunch of games in the early mid 70’s when I was but a bairn. Remember anderlecht in ‘75 European cup, and strangely Sheffield United when currie scored for them. Never saw us lose in the 70’s. Broke that duck for good in the 80’s!

    How old were you?
    probably 6/7

    Did the Whites win?
    Every time!

Were you hooked from that moment?
    - hooked before I saw a game, loved football and lived next door to Norman hunter.

Have you ever had to sit with opposition fans to get in to an away match?

    - Quite a bit. Only hairy moment was at boro after we’d won the league, we scored, I leapt up, the whole end stared at me... and I spotted the linesman‘ flag go up... screamed offside and saved myself a kicking

    Were you found out?

    very nearly!

Looks like Spurs now have a Bielsa connection again under Jose'. He has employed a whole new set of backroom staff including coaches. So these coaches are schooled in Bielsaball at Lille and his senior coach was sidelined by Bielsa until Bielsa left and the guy took over. It would seem that Jose' is bringing in coaches tomplay a more expansive style closer to Bielsa, Pochetino, Klopp and Pep. Also ex Bielsa discovery Esequil Ponce has praised the coach? Why mention Ponce who is now at Spartak Moscow? Maybe Ponce landing at Sours in January and Kane moving out? Anyway I thought it worth a mention as I was looking forward to boring Jose' but not with this crew

There aren’t that many likeable successful managers but mourinho and sir red nose top the Cnut charts.

Let’s hope ‘the special one’ continues his morph into ‘the bit sh*t’ one
