Do they do head to head rather than goal difference in the champions league? Or is that only when GD is the same?
I saw this yesterday. I don’t think the monarchy helps themselves though, this 12 days of mourning business does feel like it’s being rammed down my throat. We won’t play until October but I bet we’ll still have a minutes silence even then. I can’t stand Charles, he’s a moody arrogant old fool, the only good thing about having him as King will be a bank holiday on his coronation. I think the Queen did her duty but she made some huge cock ups, you’ve only got to read up on how much she handed Andrew on a plate and then he was protected over the Epstein business using tax payers money to pay the woman off. They can say it was his money from selling property but who gifted him the property. Andrew is a ****er of the first degree They’ve all lived a privileged life, the Queen had to die one day, I’m fine with one days respect then we move on. If people want to watch the hoorah of her coffin moving around then that’s up to them but you just can’t escape it all if you don’t. If those Celtic fans paraded through London chanting and waving banners it would be terrible but they’re not. On one hand it’s very sad that they can’t show some respect and remain quiet, on another why be fake, if you have no respect and just hatred then is that any different from the hatred we often show towards Manchester United? When old Alex passes away, do you really think 40,000 Leeds fans would obey a minutes silence. Nah the monarchy have assumed the entire UK population wish to show respect. Social media wants to rip Meghan to pieces, they want to argue over who should and shouldn’t wear military uniform, they want to argue over Harry and Meghan holding hands yesterday it’s all a farce mate that’s gone on too long.
There are thousands of tv channels to choose from. So yes you can escape from the coverage. I watch if and when i want. Megan is an attention seeker and knew she would be spotted. Celtic fans are plastic paddys with no class. Real Irish people would not have done that as they have class. These funeral/mourning plans have been in place since the 1960s.I am not a Monarchist and side with the underpaid working classes. Perhaps by the time charles passes plans will be simplified. As for football that was the prem and F. A. not the govt calling it off. If people do not like the 12 days then just ignore it. I will say this thought Elizabeth served this country for 70 years. 24 hours a day 7 days a week. She said it was her duty and for that aline she has my respect. Andrew shagged (allegedly) a 17 year old paid prostitute. Then he gets called a *****phile by many people who got shagged (female) or men who knew they were underage. Lots of these so called abused ladies crawling out of the gutter looking for a pay off. Mendy got not guilty to first charge of rape this week. I have no idea how his trial is going now. When Ferguson dies i will not be cheering. I will though raise a large glass of Scotch to Ken Bates the shyster.
There's a section of Celtic fans, the green brigade, they can contribute to a great atmosphere but many are brain dead. Every club has them but this is not the majority of Celtic fans. I know many who have zero interest in politics. I distance myself from this rubbish and hate it , lives too short, as quite simply if I wanted to I could trawl twitter and stick up some Horrific stuff sung by other sections in Scotland too. Incidentally the situation in Scotland re bigots on both sides has improved immeasurably over past two decades thankfully, I travel annually, but there are still a minority of nutters on both sides. As Ive said, all clubs have them including ourselves
Thousands of TV channels Mmm? What about general news, a bit of news and debate of what more can be done regarding fuel prices and just what else is happening. You can't escape it mate. My wife likes the One Show (I detest it myself) but even that is taken over by the coverage, you can't put the radio on without listening to toned down music. Look, I wouldn't have started this off if it wasn't for replying to Doc's post, yes, I can switch channels, put a record on, go out and play with the grandkids but at some stage of the day it is in your face. I am as bad, I am now discussing it again on here but even this footie forum, you can't escape from it. Like I said if people want to mourn for 12 days, and they agree with it all I totally respect that, but it is wrong to assume the entire nation feels the same. I think she served the country well in one respect, but I would rather have led her lifestyle than possibly 50% of the nation who suffer with anxiety and fear, money problems, trying to pay for a roof over their heads and feed kids, she hasn't had it hard. 24 hours a day 7 days a week, no sleep, no downtime, no holidays I just don't get why so many of you out there are making it sound like she worked so hard, she would have never done a 12-hour shift in her life. Andrew isn't all about that 17-year old, read up about him, how unlike Anne, William and Harry he is detested by the forces, how he has abused his position over the years, he really is a ****er. Remember though, my initial comment was a reply to the Celtic fans and me just trying to point out it is wrong to assume everyone feels the same As for the funeral itself, I will be in a luxury cottage in Devon on holiday from tomorrow with all the family. The wife and stepdaughter will be glued to the TV watching it, I will have a swim in the pool with the grandkids, I might use the sauna, have a kick about with the kids in the garden with a ball and the dogs, I will do everything to avoid it.
At the end of the day do you really think they give two ****s what you and us other plebs really think about them. All this energy wasted on this subject is just that. I for one can't wait till we can discuss footy.
