Been saying the same for months mate. If we lose tonight just watch how fans begin to turn on Farke because a couple of wins in the last 10 games isn’t very good is it. He is stubborn and insists on playing his favs even when injured. Tonight is for experimenting a bit but he’s on thin ice now. When you have the highest valued squad in the league and concede 3 against a newly promoted team……

Football has gone mad, look at Spurs, Solanke moved on by Liverpool had his first good premier league season an they paid £65 million form him. Coaches also are trying to be too clever for their own good, they won’t buy a forward because his “all round game isn’t good enough, all he does is score goals” (the point I was led to believe). They want a goalkeeper that’s good with his feet rather than one that can actually stop the ball from going in the net. Farke is fitting in nicely, we have the consistently top scorer in the division and don’t play him and we have a goalkeeper with one of the worst save stats in the league and he plays every game.

So Leeds fans are never happy with prices we get for ours, the 40m for Gray and 25m for Cry met with much anger from fans yet when its someone else's player, they can't be worth 15m surely <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Agreed but perceptions of many fans who don’t understand that and then keep talking about loaning prem players…… Farke himself said loan players want guaranteed playing time he won’t give. Plus the wages are huge and require us to pay 100% and that does impact PSR.

When you look at what Bournemouth have spent since Iraola landed it’s amazing. A Sunday league club with tiny gates have been slashing the cash in a huge way. They even paid us nearly £50m last season. They have a rich owner and for sure will be breaching PSR but don’t seem to give a fook. It seems every club who break PSR are still in the prem whereas we obided and got relegated

That’s a very good point. Bournemouth broke the rules the season they were promoted as did Villa, Leicester etc. The reward seems to outweigh the punishment for me. We play too nice.

Nothing wrong with Piroe and 14 goals from someone who is not a striker is pretty good. Why on earth are fans saying sell him?. We need to add to our attack.
Rugby league is coming to elland rd this weekend. Six games over two days might see the pitch ruined.

Couple of weeks to recover, only Hull City next and they'll be used to it! Unless we get through tonight of course and get another home draw.

Doc if I am wrong then I apologise, but isnt Clark still at Liverpool after they turned down an £8m bid from Leipzig. I'm wondering if you meant the Birmingham lad James who went to Rennes for £4m

Yes mate well spotted, but the same thing. Everyone raving about him and Leeds supposed to be talking to them but then he goes for only £4m. I know Clarke at Liverpool was also supposed to be on our radar and available. Isnt he Lee Clarkes lad?

We had the third largest wage bill last season, without signing anyone that wage bill increased with Wober and Aaronson returning. This season only 5 championship teams have spent more than £5m we are one of those, we have spent just over 17.5m

We know we are in the market for a couple more players so the spending hasn't finished.

Of the sales, only Kamara, Gray and Summerville could have been classed as first team players who had a chance of starting. Those three have been replaced with the return of Aaronson and Wober, we have also brought Rodon and Bogle and we have Rothwell on loan

If you look at it from a non frustrated fans point of view, 3 first team out, 5 first team in, loads of deadwood gone, a chunk of money to spend as we chase someone valued at around £10m

I was happy with £40m for Gray, I think we could have squeezed a bit more out for Summerville myself

No worries Doc. Bobby Clark is indeed lee Clark's son.

However I can't really see us meeting Liverpool's asking price of £10m for someone with less than 360 minutes of first team football, given how reluctant we appear to be in making competitive offers for other targets

I watched a 3 minute utube video of that Rowe lad,
Can play with both feet and head the ball.
Not afraid to shoot, very direct and will take on defenders.
Young english and has played in this league.
Sign him up worry about the psr bollox later like all other teams do.

Este there has got to be players in Europe who are equally young and talented but only a fraction of the price.mwe have a very top heavy recruitment department these days which are lauded non stop by the football industry and media. WTF have they been doing or are they hamstrung as Farke only wants UK players? UK players are overpriced as we know. Where is the next Raphinha or Gnonto…..

Mightn’t be that easy attracting young fellas across Europe to Yorkshire. It’s hardly the south of France is it. Also saw recently that tax rates are far higher for high arming footballers in uk than across Europe no idea how accurate that is

Tax rates not really the issue as they would pay the same as you as a % in relative terms mate. However most don’t do the usual PAYE as they normally have a business set up and take a divvy just like you do, but Corporation tax has damaged that and a few other bits that the tories fkd up but Labour now going to do some damage on :emoticon-0148-yes:
