There’s been seasons where relegation fodder has suddenly gone on a run from nowhere and got into contention. Keane at Sunderland, Cooper at Forest. Sheffield United who hunted us down. Our current boss with Norwich and us under Grayson when we came up from league one and looking nailed on for back to back promotions. A lot can happen in the second half of a championship season. Of course it does also mean we could implode and end up ninth

One thing we have not done for years is have a proper left back. We never played anyone to their strengths in that position preferring to put round pegs in square holes. I'd have kept Alioski instead of buying Firpo anyway but even then Davies wasn't given a chance. At least I did an interview alongside Leif a couple of seasons ago and he gave me a shirt.
