In regards to corners Douglas is our main taker, maybe the quality just wasn’t there, didn’t see them so can’t comment but I remember when we use to have Mowatt take them, could never score then and we had some bigger targets too.

    Morning all.

So as to guys sat in front of me in the west stand said last night as the penalty went in "I don't really if we lose this."
I understand the sentiment but a. Why go to the c match?
    2. If we had reached the semis or even the final would it suddenly matter?

In the grand scheme of things it isn't the end of the world I know but surely we shouldn't pick and choose which games matter.
I remember back in the Johnston paint trophy days people on here were embarrassed we were in it.
I always asked the question "if it is so below is surely it is more embarrassing we never won it?"

When you Leeds united play I want them to win. Regardless. I want them to beat whatever is on front of them. It hurts when they concede and it really hurts when they lose.

I am all for prioritising competitions but deciding after two minutes of a game you don't really care what happens escapes me.

Anyway, I'm off shopping but will return in a bit to share my thoughts on the actual match and players.

Why not? Win or lose football matches are a good event.

Depends on league position. Most people don't care we lost, with the condition that we progress in the league and the fewer matches benefit us.

Not only was it embarrassing to be in it, it was also humiliating and degrading

It was only a few years after we were playing in European semi finals ffs

I was not happy with where the club was then but that attitude of it was below us doesn't sit right. We were a league one team playing in a league one competition, surely we play to win.

    So last night.

The players brought in looked like they get Bielsas ideas but 9 changes made it hard for them to gel. I think going behind so early shell shocked them a little.

Blackman could do nothing for either goal and had little else to do all night.

Shaugnessy was off the pace, no more so for the second goal. We have achieved so much by pressing teams hard yet he stood so far off the Preston player it looked easy to score. Rightly subbed at half time.

We looked far too casual at the back when playing out. I am all for playing out from the back but also believe there is a time just to put it up field. Could have played ourselves into trouble a few times last night.

Jannson looked solid again at the back.

We had 15 corners last night and did not deliver one good one. They were awful. Against 10 we were still leaving 2 defenders back unless one came forward late to receive a short corner which was then wasted. Awful stuff.

Onto Preston. I cannot wait for the league match and see our first team tear them a new one. Biesla will want to do them. They started time wasting as soon as the penalty went in. They are a poor side and I can't stand their jock twat manager. Wasn't going to attend the league match but might book the day off work for it.

Officials. God awful referee last night. Only decision he got right was the sending off but then Stevie wonder would have given it.

All in all a bad night at the office but it's done now so onto Friday. MOT

Guys, it looks like Izzy Brown could very well be on his way to Leeds tomorrow.

Saiz is staying, but Bielsa wants cover for Saiz / Hernandez, and Brown, 21 seems the perfect fit.

Plus, if he was happy at Huddersfield last season, he'll love it at Leeds.

We were caught cold by the peno. I know it's irrelevant now, but had they not got and scored it, the result would have been totally different. Meaning I think we'd have scored a few. But it's gone and we move on. Regarding the Twitter/FB twats, I don't listen or read what they say because I'd say a lot of them don't bother going to any games.<ok>

You're right, if they had not scored, the scoreline would have been different... <doh>
